UTV Comms, What do you use Cardo, PCI or Ruff Radio

Rugged radio. It's not cheap, but they have a solution for everything.
Going on a cruise? Plug in the headset. Going to do something stupid? Wire up your helmets and they also just plug in.
this.

right now, I have a rugged radios setup in a 4 seat razor, using the headsets and its amazing how much better it makes the ride experience.

I run a PTT on my HAM radio setup for rig to rig comms, and VOX for everyone in the rig.

they have a blue tooth dongle too, so you can run music or whatever, all while shutting down most of the wind and engine noise that makes rides uncomfortable. this is the biggest benefit to running onboard comms.

IMO do not get the spring tension band behind the head muffs with the nylon strap across the top of your head, they get crazy uncomfortable after a couple hours. the traditional "earmuff" over the top of the head padded band works way better.

easily the best mod I ever did to any of my UTVs, hands down. I will have a set on every one I own, cab or not.

Well, I hunt, so, I don't really need tactical communications.

Your id shows you have been here 10 years. So, I am assuming that you know by now that the name of the forum is a bit ironic. No one here is really talking about military sniping. Plenty talk about PRS and other precision pursuits and plenty of us talk about hunting.

IOW, do they have a good dental plan at Quantico?

Really, for me, that is an academic question. I have removable dentures. Just asking for a friend.
your ID shows you have been here for 3 years. so Im assuming you should know reading comprehension is important, mmmkay

He probably hunts from a tree stand or blind with chum all around, has no idea what it's like to hunt in thick forested areas in steep terrain. I finally broken down and bought a RZR to get back in to some of the steep trails and use the high ground for glassing.

Defrosted Elk backstrap for Christmas Eve dinner, butterflyed it and used spicy chicken sausage, between two prices of strap, wrapped the whole mess with bacon and smoked it, what meal. Just enough fat to keep the Elk meat moist.

Now have to win another tag lottery.

Yes, reading comprehension is important.
yes it is, so is not making assumptions, and brother, you made a lot of assumptions from OPs short and to the point post.

where exactly did op say anything about using them for hunting?

In my experience with onboard comms they are used because UTVs are noisy, and after a long day of listening to the wind and the motor ect, and yelling at your passengers to communicate over that noise, you realize how much it sucks.

earmuffs or helmet with coms inside makes life in a open cab or caged UTV much better. onboard comms. as in onboard the UTV comms. which is what OP is talking about. I mean, its right there in the thread title.....
