Hey all, I am looking for a smith to do some accuracy & reliability work on an old 10/22 I have. I found a few promising leads from a google search, but thought I should ask here first. Anyone have suggestions on a smith that specializes in 10/22 work?

Thanks

What exactly is it you want to do/have done?
(As per post #2, unless you are hopelessly mechanically challenged, most 10/22 accurizing and reliability mods can be DYI.)

I've worked on it a bit with some aftermarket parts, it's always had some issues feeding reliably and I can't get it much better. At this point I'm wondering if it's the barrel crown or chamber. I know there are a few guys that can work these over.

As others have said, send it to CPC. They have several options for services.

Their service is outstanding and you will not be disappointed. Having said that, I actually prefer to do my own work on the 10/22's that the grandkids use for their 4H competitions. My tinkering has brought their rifles up to ALMOST as good as a CPC package. Kind of wish I had gone with CPC to start with.

This is great info. Just what I was hoping for. I came across CPC in my search.

+1 for CPC. Old school. Randy has worked on a couple of rifles for me. Went full stupid on one and had him thread a barrel into a receiver and delete the V block as well. Top notch work and prices are excellent-Norcal911
