I've got expensive leather holsters, and I've got cheap leather holsters.
I've got expensive leather holsters I wouldn't buy again with your money, and cheap ones I would without a doubt buy again. In fact, my custom built 500 S&W sits in inexpensive leather holsters made in Turkey, it's in one on the nightstand right now.
The most unbelievable thing was that they ship from Turkey, I ordered the one on a Wednesday and it was to me on Friday, I could not believe that, unreal, especially for a $60 or so holster. I bought another, they are what I use for my very big and very heavy 500 S&W, when I use a leather holster.
MASC holsters on Amazon is who they are. Haven't had an issue.
Have two expensive holsters for my 2011, paid to have double layer leather, the "nice" side facing in and out, the whole ordeal. Couldn't even tell you where they are, never use them and don't even care. Wildly expensive.
Had another costly leather holster I just burned, not going to use it then it'll just take up space so no thanks. A Milt Sparks through Wilson Combat that is another I think got burned, but maybe it's floating around here somewhere.
Anyway, point to all that is to simply say, I wouldn't shy away from inexpensive, I've spent so many thousands on holsters, Kydex, leather, combos, and so on... sometimes cheap is garbage, sometimes it's great, sometimes expensive is garbage, sometimes it is great.
Sometimes people like to brag that they waited 2yrs to get their magic leather holster, it's a point of pride, if that's you, great, if not, then let them keep those guys busy, get you something that works and enjoy.
Though to some degree it does depend on what you want, steel reinforced opening... shark skin... several layers or just one thick one or or or... double stitch with kevlar thread... weird designs so you look ultra gay... all kinds of stuff to do or not to do.
