A 2 dollar tip!?!?!?!?!? Stab, stab,stab,stab,stab,stab,stab,stab.....you get the point.

Thankfully, Wal-Mart Grocery delivery doesn't work like that or I'd be in real deep $hit.

I don't tip until after the delivery is complete. And then I do it on my phone (or website) after the driver has left. I need to make sure the delivery goes as planned and that all the items are there (sometimes, they aren't). Also, if I buy things like Ice Cream, I want to ensure it hasn't melted, etc if they make me the last delivery on their route, and they don't have a "cooler" in their car, especially in the summer.

Since no money exchanges hands during deliveries like these ( or things like Uber/Lyft rides - it's all on the app), it makes it a lot easier. As for things like Pizza deliveries, I just don't order Pizza like that anymore. I make "Pizza Bowls" myself.

Did Jew miss the part where she didn’t get stabby at time of delivery. Got her armed boyfriend and came back later

Yeah not tipping food delivery workers is a dangerous practice.

I only order from places that have their own drivers and tip reasonably well.

I’m not so worried about the time it takes to get there. I’m worried about them spitting in my food or some other god-awful bodily fluid.

To me that is the least you can do to protect yourself from food tampering.

I've your tip. A 185 gr. Silvertip.

Well, they aren't vampires so, hopefully, no need for "Silver Bullets." ;)

That said, I do believe in tipping and tipping well, for service well rendered. For deliveries, restaurants (especially there), Uber/Lyft rides, etc. Minimum $5.00 for deliveries where I can, even if the bill % doesn't add up to that. I know what it means to work for tips. For precisely one week, I was one of those delivery drivers (a competitor to UberEats called "Postmates"). Precisely... one week. Trust me, it got unprofitable quickly (time and fuel costs). And some of the end customers treat you like crap. Not all, but some... enough to be noticeable... and irritating.

So, yeah, I believe in tipping for a service well rendered. But it must be "well rendered."

I believe in tipping well and treating the wait staff with utmost couretesy and respect. They have a hard job and I couldn't deal with the public.

I've also eaten at a well known coffee shop restuarant chain that offers mediocre food and after adding at least a 18% gratuity on $30.00, which I thought was fair, being asked at the register "Was something wrong with the service?" to which responded "No...why?"

Yeah... When they hand you the "comment card," you know you "F'ed" up.... or they did! I never fill it out... and, certainly, not in front of them.

If it was a $2 bill I'd be pretty pissed too. I fucking hate the sight of those things.

Like this one?

As I’m getting a coffee or some other small item from an establishment that pays their employees an actual hourly rate and the purple hair liberal arts kid hands me the electronic tip pad thingy, I make sure to stare them in their eyes and smile as I select “no tip”.

More often than not, there are at least two or three (more than necessary) of their kind playing grab ass behind the counter with fucking zero comprehension/knowledge/training of how to conduct themselves not just in public, but as an employee in a service role.
