I'm putting away my ar10's this winter, and i would like to see if I can get my M1A shooting. So I was wondering if using J-B Weld and KIWI shoe polish is still a good option as any. The positive part of going that route is that it will not cost me anything.

Don't forget clay and masking tape to make sure you can get the action out. I like having the microballoons that came in the wheeler kit.

Everyone seems to swear by devcon nowadays, I'm going to try some on a cz 457 this weekend.

Devcon Plastic steel putty 10110 is easier to work with instead of JB Weld. The JB weld is more "runny" and takes more work to tape and clay dam.
