Anybody can make a mistake. (leaving a weapon on the bed after a hook-up)

    That, to me, is forgivable.

Not discovering that it's missing from your holster 10 no, 5 minutes after you leave... then hiding the fact all day...

    That is NOT forgivable.

Sorry bro, but after you get done having sex, your brain starts to work properly again. At least it's suppose to.
You're hiding the fact that you're an incompetent idiot.

If a not cop did that there would be consequences.

Maybe there are 3 legal systems….rich, poor, LEO
    Multi level legal system.

    1. Ultra Rich
    2. Senior politicians
    3. Large corporation COEs
    4. Junior Politicians, Cops, Judges, Mayors
    5. Illegal Aliens
    6. Blacks
    7. Poor
    8. Middle class (non-white)
    9. White, Conservatives, Christians

So this hits home in a way. I have several guns that are out, and I have kids...it's the country, you aren't taking a ride in someone's truck without having a firearm of some sort sitting next to you.

That being said; It is 100% the parent's responsibility to make sure that the house and guns inside are safely stored and adjust accordingly to the responsibility level of your children. If you're banging mom...you've just assumed the role as a parent while you're in her house smashing those guts. There should be some disciplinary action here, not only for the loss of a firearm, but the lack of reporting.

I grew up in an environment where if you were supposed to set the example, you were made the example if you became negligent or complacent.

Sh*t happens... lots of cops are irresponsible, it goes with the low IQ requirements for the job. Lots of shootouts on youtube where the cops just start firing, no care for whats in the line of fire or behind it. Job requirements are to be compliant, not intelligent. That occupation attracts a lot of egos and head cases. And they cling together, cops only date other cops...etc.. Not always the case but its a sign of pack animals... more in tune to emotions and instincts than logic and intelligence. -Not all are like this but in this field there is probably more than any other. Cop was with his women... all other thoughts out the window. Emotions took over common sense and logic.

The only “cops are qualified to have guns” is perpetuated blindly by the 2A FUDD ANTI-open carry crowd.

This is always infuriated me because somehow if you put on a badge, a gun automatically becomes OK to be open carried.

If you’re normal citizen, it scares the sheep.😱 Citizens exercising their 2A rights must keep them hidden at all times.

Gays were smart enough to come OUT of the closet.

Gun owners have decided that we need to go into the fucking closet.

Somehow the only time citizens, who are not gun owners, should see guns is with police or movies or when somebody’s committing a crime. Oh, and our Tactical run & gun cosplay YouTube videos. Then of course there is John Wick🤮

Anyone who has been around cops for any length of time knows that a shocking percentage of them have the gun handling skills of an untrained 10-year-old. Yet somehow they are more qualified to carry a firearm openly than the rest of us. Also, the so-called Tactical advantage of not seeing a firearm on your person, is null and void with them, magically.

Now that’s not to say I haven’t welcomed an earnest discussion in proper RESPONSIBLE open carry and the appropriate places to be open carrying retention holster, etc. We should have that discussion. For example I am not in favor of people walking into Starbucks with ARs at low-ready but that’s me.

The 2A community makes a grave, tactical, political, cultural error, placing public officials in any capacity to have more rights than the average citizen when it comes to the second amendment.

    This includes open carry.

No question the “Enforcement Class” has expanded 2A privileges.
    • Nation concealed carry
    • Streamlined NFA app process
    • Can take approved handgun into Canada
    • Industry discount entitlements
    • Exemptions when most laws are passed, including mag limits and Colorado’s new “gun must be in locked hard case when in vehicle” law.
Even a diversity-hire Game Warden has these entitlements. They are BETTER than you.

Was I the only one struck by the sky is falling tone of the “article?” OMG children and teachers were “EXPOSED” to a loaded firearm.

Putting aside the blatant cop bashing- OP getting back to his roots- and the obvious lack of professional/adult responsibility regarding firearms storage, this is a real nothing-burger. I mean, the title of the article could be “Glock spends the day in a backpack” and no facts would change…

Imagine if the people who enforce the standard were held to it….or the people who craft the rules.

    Laughs in tax slave.

So not sure if I have posted this here before but her in Ohio the schools hours required to become a barber are more than to become a police officer who carries a gun.
I participated in competitive shooting for many years and the worst thing that could happen was to get a cop assigned to your squad.
Where I went to church had several law enforcement people, in their eyes everyone was a criminal.

Nope, I thought the same thing, good thing the gun didn’t jump out of the backpack and start killing kids all on its own, you know it wanted to, it was a 9mm after all, according to JB it would blow their lungs out. 🙄.

Very irresponsible behavior by the adults for sure, but the gun is just metal and plastic, it requires a trigger puller and fortunately there wasn’t one.

People that freak at the sight of an inanimate object aren’t human.

But being a loaded and chambered striker fired gun it could of very easily went bang bouncing around in a back pack.

I don't recall the article saying it was a Sig 320.😉

Bouncing around in a pack should not cause the pistol to fire. They must pass drop tests.
Something hitting the trigger just the right way is another matter.

This right here is proof why cops are better trained. Dude shot himself just to see what it feels like. Now that's bad ass.

To add insult to injury, the meathead shot himself RIGHT after he just bragged that he was the "only one professional enough"... Holy shit, God and Darwin have proved to be the ultimate champions of trolling. That dude must have committed serious blasphemy at some point. :ROFLMAO:

The amount of times that video and shitpost .gifs made from it have been posted and reposted on various forums has to surpass the number of miles between Earth and Mars...

However, Judge Shanstrom ruled that Paige was unable to establish that the video footage at issue that was publicized on the Internet came from a protected "system of records" and that the release of the video was done with an "intentional and willful" mental state by the DEA.

As a result, Paige did not meet the Privacy Act's disclosure provision since the
circumstances surrounding the shooting were already in the public domain. Also, the Privacy Act does not allow recovery for emotional and reputational damages.

In this situation, it seems that Lee Paige may have shot himself again in the foot.

The local CCW teacher is a retired police sergeant he has had 2 AD's in classes. One a student was shot. People in town defend him to no end citing he is a retired LEO he is the safest and knows everything about guns.
