Only thing I can think here is that if there is a protracted battle for a new speaker(I havent heard any concensus in the past few weeks) that the new congress cant be seated and cant certify the election, cant get to work on any nominees, etc...

Could be a power play to get the election certified, etc... and then later...blamo... gotta go...

Who knows with Trump.

nothing will get done if there's fighting in congress over the speaker position. Johnson's been meeting weekly with Trump since the election. Why do you think the new CR was released in time for Musk and Vivek to go thru it and let the public know what was in it. The old guard would not have allowed it. Get in get things rolling and down the road replace the speaker if needed. Zelensky will not get another dime after Trump gets in. "IF" we can avert war for another 21 days, Putin has already agreed to meet with Pres Trump and end the Ukraine war. You can bet their already talking. I say "if" because the dems and deep state will burn this nation down just to rule over it's ashes if they have to. If nothing else, If they get a war going, Pres Trump will be to busy to go after them

Sometimes you need the swamp to move things long. You will have the democrats not on your side. No reason to hamper your agenda isolating everyone. As far as Ukraine goes, well we do shit there that we cant do here and Zelenski isnt our buddy but knows where the bodies are. Think however, the money tap does have to goto a trickle.

Do we really need those biolabs in Ukraine?
Do we really need to test our weapons systems there, using actual lives to do it?
Do we really need to use Ukraine to wash money back to the MIC?
Do we really need Ukraine to have our politicians and their kids get kickbacks?

What exactly are we doing in Ukraine that we NEED to do that cannot be done within CONUS?

Keep it real , Trump can nibble a bit around the edges and do some preformative talking as long as he keeps inside a box uniparty set up if elections could fundamentally change much they would have long ago been abolished.

If we are lucky... he has enough dirt on the fucking traitor, self-important, POS Johnson that he will dance like a trained organ-grinder monkey after Jan. 20.

I'd like to think that President The Donald has learned enough over the past 8 years to be able to play the game well-enough to a$$fuck the swamp. And that includes making the POS Johnson into a hand-puppet.

I don't want to be wrong. Maybe I am. Hopefully I am not.

So I'll give it a bit of a chance.

Imagine being a group of hundreds of (supposedly) competent elected officials from all over the country, and you agree as a group that your leader should be Hakkeem fucking Jefferies.
