A NOLA shit show, IMO. I was on Bourbon Street this time last year. Three days prior to New Year's Eve, the Police routinely deployed the massive steel bollards every evening about dark on both ends of Bourbon St in the Quarter to prevent ALL vehicular traffic. It was foot traffic only. They did not even allow the rickshaw type pedal taxis to travel on Bourbon. Fast forward to last night, just now an eyewitness who was on the scene and saw the event firsthand from one of the local bars reports that the steel bollards were not deployed at all and the driver of the truck was able to hit close to 70mph down Bourbon St??? WTF???
I must speculate that this is either a case of really poor event planning on the part of City officials and NOPD, or somebody intentionally allowed or ordered the PD to not deploy the bollards? Either option is a very bad look for the City. The Mayor called it an act of terrorism but the Asst SAIC from the FBI said it was Not??? One of them is full of shit. But, what do I know? I was not there and know next to nothing. Will be interesting to know the name of the driver, and his nationality/ethnic background. The FBI implied that multiple possible explosive devices was found or suspected but not known if they were viable. Not sure what that means. They found a pack of firecrackers or they found pipe bombs or they found actual IED type large devices? Not sure.

I wanted to go to Cafe du Mond and eat the beignets for 25 years before I made it down there about 3 years ago.
Most disappointing (highly anticipated) food experience I've ever had. They sucked. I ordered a big box of them and a half dozen of their specialty chickory coffee for my crew. Nobody finished one, and the coffee was about the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted. They are dinner rolls with a hand full of powdered sugar thrown on top of them, and the chickory coffee is clearly made by soaking a dead guys 3 week old scrotum in hot water, and then finishing it with with pig piss. I do not understand the fanfare.

As a follow up to my first post - I have been expecting some form of disruptive, coordinated action coming out of the Leftist, Antifa, Anarchist wing of the Socialist Democrat Party minions following Trumps win in the election. Yet, it has been strangely quiet to the point of making me wonder when the protests and street fires were going to begin? Not saying this is the prelude but... Be alert and vigilant. Only a few weeks before Trump is sworn in. What is next?

I think it's Amish, stole the truck, they were on him quick. He ran, thought he might jump out in the crowd and dissappear, but they were tight on his ass and he hit the crowd. He wasn't going back to jail this time, so they had a little shootout, and he lost.
