Hi Folks. Icelander here.
Im deep down in PRS shooting and have been using Big horn action. (really good action) Had Impact 737r but did't like it.
Are going to have Borden Mountaineer sometime in january 2025 and Terminus Zeus are in my shopping cart.

But now I also see American rifle company Coup De Grâce Bolt Action as a feasible option.
What do you all say about that. Should I get Terminus Zeus or ARC Coup De Grâce Bolt Action.

I would like to have both, but afraid my wife would shorten my lifespan or at least make the rest of my life miserable ;)
(joke) I have a great wife that understands how sick I'm when it comes to guns and gun related stuff ;)

I have both and while it comes to personal preference, I like them both and don’t feel like I would miss one over the other if I only had one of them. The customer support from both companies is outstanding should you need some technical advice. The actions both feed well with AW magazines and I have used both with 223 Remington chambered barrels and bolts with success. The Zeus has the quick change option with the set screws while the CDG has the option to change calibers by simply swapping the bolt head and using the appropriate barrel and action wrench. So perhaps it would come down to which one your gunsmith or retail dealer has better support with, as you can’t go wrong with either option.

I have several of both CDG and Terminus Zues long and short. Both work well, feed well, shoot well and are high quality. For my preference I use the Zues the most.

- If you are looking for extraction leverage, it feels like the CDG has more. I have never had issues with the Zues extraction with that said.
- The CDG has a trigger hanger bracket system that is adjustable. Its a neat feature I guess but you can get it set wrong or it can loosen, when right it can slightly lighten the lift pressure on the bolt when wrong it wont shoot or the lift is heavier. I have never had a problem with and I prefer the threaded pins that the terminus has, it makes it really easy to install triggers.
- Prefit barrels are available for both but seems to be more prevalent for the Zues. In addition the quick change works well on the Zues vs the traditional fit and torque on the CDG. If you are looking to do one action and switch between calibers or steel/carbon for weight I would do the Zues. I have switched calibers and the zero shift is consistent when changing barrels. I have shot big heavy 28" barrels on the Zues QC tenon that has less threads than the CDG and it has not be an issue for me.
- CDG has changeable bolt heads and is toolless dissemble, Zues you have to get full bolts but both have availability and I find it easier just to throw a full bolt in when switching vs taking the bolt apart and installing a new bolt head but it is more expensive.
- CDG has 70deg bolt throw Zues has 60deg. 10deg doesn't sound like much but it is easier/ faster to cycle the bolt on the Zues especially on barricades

I own both and prefer the zues over the cdg. With the price increase of the cdg I don't think I'll be purchasing anymore of them. I'm awaiting a solus action, otherwise I will probably buy more origins.

Not having a trigger hanger for one. I use tt diamonds exclusively and have never had a problem with timing. I was also disappointed with the bolt lift. I thought it should be lighter.

The zues feels more refined and just plain works. Put a trigger in, screw a barrel in, mount it in a stock/chassis and go shoot.

For me, it took more smithing to make the cdg work. The one long action I mounted in a Manners ph, the mag well in the action doesn't quite line up with the mag well in the stock and so it won't feed ammunition loaded to full cip length. I believe this issue has been fixed on the new ones.
