russians never throw anything away, unlike us. those 1000s of MN 9130s,38s and 44s that came in during the 90s were redone after ww2 in ukraine and stored, mostly in deep salt mines. ultimately imported and sold here. spoke to and dealt with 1 of the 1st importers who actually went to russia and bought thru some general who had control of them.
You never seen the Russian equipment graveyards all over trashghanistan apparently

Ah, the old Memphis Pyramid! It was the Municipal "commerce/trade" Center of Memphis, TN for a long time in the 90's. BPS bought it out, apparently. I actually visited Memphis in late August 1997 on one of my "Food Trips" (where I'd visit a city to check out their restaurants I'd heard of). I remember that Memphis was one of those "tourist savvy" cities where you were not allowed to bring your camera to take pictures of certain places (because they already had pictures they wanted to sell you). The "Pyramid" was one of them. Graceland was another, as was the "Lorraine Motel" (where MLK was assassinated). In fact, they still have MLK's original Caddy in the parking lot as a tourist artifact.

I remember it was late August (08/31/1997 to be exact) because the day I left Memphis to return home was the day Princess Diana was killed.

I used to go to swap meets/audio shows in the pyramid late 90s early 00s. Memphis used to be a good town for some music and food, but not so much nowadays I hear. We usually drive through once a year or so when we go visit my folks in Arkansas. Finally stopped to see the bass pro and eat walhburgers one year, can check both off my list.
