In a van, down by the river.
Snow Mexicans rejoice! Things looking up for our 51st state!

I expect Mark Carney or Christia Freeland will step in to pretend to be different. If that works, nothing will change. If it doesn’t work, Pierre will take over and be slightly less stupid with our $$$. The important thing to remember is that the bulk of Canadian voters are retarded morons who continually and happily cut off their own nose to spite their neighbour’s face.

Go woke, go broke. It should be stamped with a red hot branding iron into everyone's minds that when you bring forth nothing but bad policies that cause society to regress and suffer, your legacy will be that of FAILURE, SHAME, and retreating in utter humiliation. No one will be singing your praises except the roaches and vermin who inhabit the dark places with you.

There are vast swaths of places in Canada that despite the recent antigun and anti-nationalist drivel passed by their Parliament, are more aligned with the US way of life than any Crown. They are heavily armed, live off the land, and their communities can easily form pacts of mutual defense and have populations of armed and politically active townsmen who can raise impromptu ranger and militia forces if necessary. Trudeau and his ilk wanted to go to war with them and these communities have tried their very best to stay off hostilities. But with the increasing madness of the failure of the national health service and shenanigans like pushing assisted suicide onto as many patients as possible, it is only a matter of time when conflict is unavoidable. And if things continue the way they are, a Canadian civil war will be inevitable, and the forces could be predicted at this moment. Alberta, Saskatchewan, western Manitoba, and the Northwest Territories can easily declare sovereignty and/or apply for Statehood in the Union. The Yukon, populated by mostly Yakut and Cree who are also hunters and woodsmen who live off the land and are fiercely self reliant, might try to stay neutral at first, but circumstances such as heavy handed tactics by the occupying RCMP may drive them to join the Sovereign Confederation later on. Modern warfare, especially in the high plains and northern woods, will be sharpshooter dominated guerrilla warfare. Every rifleman in the hypothetical Confederation regions are sharpshooters. The state forces cannot hope to survive such a conflict. Armored trucks, SWAT teams, and MRAPS may be able to take and hold ground and brutalize unarmed civilians, but personnel would be felled like logs by the minute and by the day, their lifeblood drilled out of them by the pencil shafts of 7mm Rem Mag, .300 Win Mag, and similar ordnance until their ranks fall silent or withdraw back into their capital cities, their outposts gradually retaken by militia forces...

Is the story behind as to why because of a 'sudden' lack of support (that seems to be what the articles I've found are pointing to)?

Politicians in such positions seldom (in my opinion) voluntarily give up power regardless of what public opinion is. It seems that it takes them trying to save their own ass to initiate that button being pressed. Anything info from that angle (things coming out/protections granted by Canadian law if they are no longer in office/ etc.)?

Maybe regions of 'free state Canada' had already declared secession from the leftist administration and are hinting at paying the leadership centers a "visit" if they don't get their shit together and quiet down on the leftist nonsense. Like the UK, Canada's media are compelled at trying to suppress things that they don't want people to hear. Could be more things going on behind the scenes that we are not aware of, yet...

    Appreciate the response-

I'm well aware of the shenanigans that occurred under his watch/direction but honestly I'm not all that savvy with the nuances with Canada's laws/political system.

All I've been able to find hinting as to the "why" is because he suddenly isn't popular (I still remember the trucker ordeal) and the spin seems to be he's just a good natured fellow and stepping down for the betterment of his folks.

For obvious reasons, I'm just having an awfully difficult time believing that and suspect there's a whole lot more to the iceberg beneath the waterline as it were and was assuming that if he's not in office there'd be some sort of protection from legal actions that are in motion (although I haven't been able to find anything concrete supporting that guess).

Won't make any difference to Trump! Trump doesn't want to deal with the Liberals. They're all climate cultists and they all push woke nonsense. The lady that is slated to replace Trudeau (Freeland) showed up to the NAFTA negotiations last time Trump was in power with a team of 20-something-year-old interns and started the negotiations trying to include pronouns and gender BS in the text of the treaty. Not kidding about that!

Trump knows the Consevatives will win in a landslide when the Canadian election is held, but he doesn't want to wait until October. If the Liberals are still in power when he takes office, Canada will get the 25% tariff because it will force an election. Poilievre will win and gladly sell him all the Canadian natural gas and oil he wants (industries Trudeau has tried to destroy), in addition to minerals, lumber and other raw materials the US will need when the economy gets going again. The Conservatives will secure the border and will also be doing a mass deportation of all of the illegals Trudeau brought in.

Don't misunderstand me- I love your enthusiasm and for what it's worth- I really like Trump myself. However, I've said it here before and I'll say it again... Trump only has 2 years to start delivering on his promises and bring us back from the abysis that liberal policies brought us to. I say 2 years because realistically (at least in my mind) he has the advantage of the latest red wave to make a profound impact on what he campaigned for but that leverage can easily be lost after midterm elections.

I'm hopeful that he's learned from his 1st term in office and who he surrounded himself with but time will tell. I can only speak for myself but I can't help but worry about midterms and wonder how much can be done between now and then to right this ship.

Either way, reckon we'll find out soon enough and I'm going to fasten my proverbial seatbelt to ride out what's coming.

    Not just Canadian unfortunately.

The scary part about today's world is not that ideologues like Trudeau, Arden, and Starmer get into leadership positions within political parties, it's that stupid people vote for them and believe their BS that's the problem.

New Zealand voted out the Labour party that ran the economy into the ground and started societal and racial divisions not seen in decades. Yet many people are upset tha the new Government is cutting jobs and costs, despite 8 years of unprecedented public spending.

Poilievre seems to be saying all the right things (as did Trump and Vance), will have to see if he will actually be able to turn words into actions. I imagine the bureaucracies will be hard to break apart just like Trump found out in his first term and the Tories in the UK (not that they tried very hard to break them).
