Does anyone here own one of these that can share their likes or dislikes with this suppressor? Repeatable poi shift with the factory QD mount?

I have and am happy with my SF Socom 2 Mini. It does everything I need it to do. I need another 308 can that will run on a 16” MWS, 18” rifle gas 6.5 Grendel, and 16” 556 middy but Im being cheap and looking at the YHM Resonator K. Size and low back pressure are the main criteria. If you look at the Pew Science back pressure chart, the Resonator compares well to the SF Mini and even outperforms the Huxworks Flow Ti on back pressure.

What says The Hide?

I think YHM represents one of the best values in the suppressor market. I have an R2 and an R9. I love the R9 on my 16” 308 AR. No, it’s not hearing safe, but I can choose to wear just ear plugs at the range, instead of plugs and muffs. The R2K-30 looks like a better shorty can for that application.

I don’t love the phantom muzzle devices, however. It’s luck of the draw whether the mount and adapter will mate such that one won’t back off “a click” from the other. But, the price of the can includes the mount and adapter, and is still below the industry average for a can w/o a mount. I’ve moved to Rearden/Plan B and have been very happy overall.

I have a resonator r2 and a hux 7.62 ti. The resonator is a high pack pressure can, night and day difference compared to the 7.62ti. That said the I run the yhm on my bolt guns and rifle length 5.56 and it works great for that, it gets swapped from rifle to rifle a lot and it holds zero, poi is repeatable and the same on all my rifle.

I have a YHM Resonator K that got out of jail back in Sept. I bought it because I wanted a K can and everything I researched indicated it is a great value. I have numerous SiCo ASR mounts, so I am not using the YHM mount system. I am very happy with the Resonator K. I took it to the range and shot a skinny barreled 20" 5.56 AR to compare it to my SiCo SAKAR 5.56, Omega 300, and Hybrid 46. I also shot all of the cans except the SAKAR on an 18" 6.5 Grendel AR. I used my phone on a stand next to my head with the NIOSH SLM app open. I don't regard it as valid for measuring actual sound level but use it to compare relative numbers. With both rifles all of the cans were 130-134 dB. All of the cans sounded good, none of them really stood out as being a lot different. Part of the time I had my son shooting so I could stand on both sides to listen. The Grendel didn't have a measurable POI shift at 100 yards, the skinny barrel 5.56 was zeroed with the Resonator K and the group moved straight down with the heavier SiCo cans.

I have a resonator K on a 16" DMR. Its serves its purpose perfectly.
I also have an ancient YHM Phantom 7.62 which was my first can, so I have about a gajillion YHM Muzzle Devices.

My resonator shipped with a 5/8x24 muzzle device, which obviously won't work on a 1/2x28 threaded muzzle, but thats okay because I have a gajillion YHM muzzle devices, right?

Well yes, but actually no. I have grown to absolutely hate the YHM mounting system because the variances are bad enough that its kind of a crap shoot on whether or not you'll be able to cinch down the can to the last "click".

If you can? Great! You are shooting a half minute with good ammo and good fundamentals.

If you cant, or worse if you think you did but then it backs off a click while shooting? Say hello to 4" groups that are 2" low and left. This is true for the Resonator and the Phantom.

So my advice would be to get a different HUB adapter and use a different mount. The muzzle device that shipped with each of my YHM cans is perfect for it's specific can. All other muzzle devices may or may not work correctly. For instance, the 1/2x28 muzzle device I used on my resonator would absolutely not go all the way to the last "click" unless I use the suppressor wrench to overtighten it on the mount and then pray it will come off without bringing the muzzle device with it.

Its on a xeno mount now.

I am very skeptical that the Resonator K has the same back pressure as the Flow 762.
Maybe I misunderstand Pew’s goofy rating system.

Thanks to everyone who has shared their experiences, thoughts, and opinions. I’ve thought about this and have reassessed my requirements. This can will probably not be used on the LMT guns. It’s likely to live its life on a rifle gassed 18” 6.5 Grendel which is more tolerant of higher back pressure cans and some use on 16” 556 and 6.5 G middy guns. This will open up some other reasonably priced options. Again, thanks to all that have replied.

I’ve got the resonator K. It’s the loudest can I have. I’ve got a legacy huxworks stainless 5.56 flow, banish 30, entices S, and a jumbo shrimp to compare it to. That being said it is shorter than them all. I wouldn’t say it’s less back pressure than my hux can though. I use the rearden style on the other cans and I swapped it out on the resonator also. I didn’t like the clicky mount it came with. It’s a good value though for what you get.
