I will save you some reading with a couple of videos:

Here is a link to some information that the Gun Owners of America produced. At the end of the article is a linked request to sign a e-letter to your senators. You will have the ability to edit the letter. And, of course, after submitting the letter GOA will ask for a donation. You don't have to give a donation but I did anyway. GOA has never backed down with fighting for our 2A rights. A small donation is the least we can do for an organization that doesn't compromise.

I hate Red Flag laws, they are just a run around the 2A. Totally unconstitutional. Denying someone their constitutional rights should have more proof than an anonymous (in some states) phone call to bitch about a person. Worst, are states where the burden of proof is on the person whose rights were taken away and has to FIGHT (hire a lawyer) to get his shit back and rights restored. NO punishment on the caller or others.

Bondi is a hard no for me.

Relax everybody she will do what Trump tells her to do. And also relax about gun control. Trumps 2 sons are bigger gun enthusiasts than almost anyone of you. Trust me they will be looking out for us with his dad. Trump is not a gun guy at all but his kids are world class.

I'd venture to say my former state, the PRNJ has it. Remember what these laws are for... LE. A tool they can use to effect their "underlying objective..." Get weapons off the streets and disarm the public. Even if the subject is totally innocent and not a danger at all, Good luck in getting your weapons/ammo back from LE. You can kiss them goodbye!

“You can’t always get what you want but ,if you try sometime, you get what you need”

The hallmark of an ideologe is insistence on perfect at the expense of good enough and, as Picasso said, “don’t worry about perfect, you’ll never achieve it.

For those 50 y.o. Or under, what AG in your lifetime do you like more than Bondi? Serious question.

Personally, I see her as a massive upgrade over what we have been suffering with.

    Cheers.

You can listen to her call for it right here:

So what she said was that the police were going to be able to seize the guns at the same time the owner was being taken into custody on a mental health hold. The phone app thing concerned anonymous reporting of behavior that warranted a mental health hold. They were not talking about seizure of guns based solely on an anonymous complaint.

Like when Trump told his last DOJ to go after bump-stocks.(which in turn set the precedent for an avalanche of bad behavior on the behalf of the ATF.)

Like when Trump said “take the guns then due process later”.

Like when Trump and his leftist daughter pushed for Red flag laws.

I swear gun owners were collectively dropped on their heads too many times as a child.

F*ck that piece of crap Bondi. She belongs nowhere near the administration. She’s a former Democrat who turned Republican to win an election, not unlike Trump.

There’s only one thing more dangerous to guns than a Democrat in office and that’s a Republican. Remember, it was Reagan who gave us the machine gun ban. But hey, people didn’t pay attention that he gave us the open carry ban in California before he ever got into the White House

Gun owners fight like little girls.

I am happy Trump won but let’s get real. He has four years and we are in danger. He doesn’t need us anymore.

    .

You might listen to it again. The app is for kids to anonymously rat out others on social media. The guns - there is no adjudication and no where does she ever discuss how the guns go back to the owner.

I don’t have to listen to it again. Pam Bondi does not pass laws. She enforces laws. FL does not have a law that authorizes seizure of firearms based on anonymous tips.

Bondi always seems to lean toward goverment over freedom here in Fl.
BTW so has Rubio- terrible choice for sec state or anything else. am concerned about trump's picks. for that matter Scott has always been a rino. wish my state would do better. of course many have done way worse. none of us have anything to vote for except the toads that the uniparty puts up for grabs.

You missed a few A’s in there.

Yep. Absolutely NOBODY should have expected anything less than Red Flag support and >21 y/o for purchase out of any "R".

Remember folks, Trump is pro 2A to the point it drops his polling numbers when he goes too far either way, and despite what his sons may think he's not someone from gun culture. He's a New Yorker whom I'd bet money he doesn't know the difference between an AR and AK, or a Glock and a 1911. Everything he knows about gun control and freedoms, he learned from the NRA. Let that sink in for a moment.

Trump and Bondi are not necessarily the solution, but Democrats are absolutely the problem. We are only slightly better off Monday evening than Monday morning. I'll be waiting for actions, both legislatively and bureaucratically, to make an inkling of a move from highly distrustful because despite what letter follows a name of the latest office holder, they're still the government who love power and control as much as they love taxes and restrictive laws that apply to the citizenry but not themselves.

Don’t put words in my mouth.
Did I say that? Or did say you can listen to her call for that?

It is from 2017 after Parkland. The law wasn't written yet. Encouraging kids to rat out others anonymously and an ex-parte hearings system - yeah, not down with that.

So - how about you? You down with that?

I’m not down with that. But I also understand that what she said in a news conference is not what would be implemented exactly as stated. For one thing, the police already have anonymous tip lines. So what’s the difference if they make an app for that? You don’t want people to be able to anonymously report crimes?

Cool beans on not being down for it.

We probably differ (radically) on the role of the AG here - like you said, the AG enforces and does not make law. With that in mind and how big that microphone was that day, she needed to STFU.

That's exactly what they are. Another damn "patriot act" the cops/DA's can and will abuse. After ALL that we've seen of lawfair and unconstitutional and outright criminal use of the law to destroy political opponents, you'd think anyone with any sense would see how dangerous ANY restrictions or extra tools for .gov to use against the people are.

Agreed. But that’s a tall order after what happened over there. Politicians feel the need to tell the public they are doing something. A politician will never STFU.

And you would be wrong. A court must order the surrender, after a hearing. Not just anyone can file a petition. I am not supporting the laws, but some anonymous person can't just get someone else's guns taken away.

Honestly, I think we are taking the wrong approach here. I think it's clear that the people "in power" don't matter. Bondi doesn't matter. Trump doesn't mater. None of them matter. Because they're all pro Red Flag laws. Because all of them want to support LE. And LE likes Red Flag laws for the reasons previously stated. It lets them accomplish their underlying objective... permanently disarming the law abiding public so they can control them. And I think the fact that no one questioned Bondi about her 2A stances etc. etc. or like Dana Loesch not bothering to question Ron DeSantis about Bondi on it in her recent interview on her show, even though she advertised that she would is proof that they support it, indirectly. It's why we're hearing "crickets" when anyone tries to bring it up.

No matter how many laws exist to guarantee our 2A rights , allow us to purchase inventory/gear, let us carry wherever we want, however we want, or in any State we want, or allow us to carry without needing a permit/license, etc. etc. none of that makes a bit of difference if LE can just come into you house, confiscate your property and not give it back to you when you've been cleared of the accusation. The only way to stop it is to repeal the laws that authorize it... to refuse to let any other State of the feds to enact it.

And it would seem that the best way to accomplish this, given the failure of trying to elect politicians that will listen to us and get it done, is with litigation. We need to sue the crap out of these LEAs and DA's that try to implement it, knowing full well, the unconstitutionality of it. Red Flag Laws violate the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 14th amendments. We need to get some lawsuits going... all the way up to SCOTUS. We have to hope we'll get some relief there. If we can't, then we are totally "F'ed," And, in that case, I think a quote from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ comes to mind.

"Father forgive them, for they know not what they do."

The only problem I have with her is the fact that I have yet to find any naked pictures of her on the internet..............

There are definitely naked pictures of her somewhere. Probably at Epstein parties AND Diddy parties. She takes a lot of bribes and trips.

REMEMBER- this is the person who cut Jeffrey Epstein loose as a state prosecutor. She also sealed all the case records in the State of Florida.

Inexplicably, she later asked Merrick Garland to release the same info she kept hidden.

Dems did not ask these questions during confirmation- because they are in the Epstein files too.

Unfortunately that is what has happened at EVERY one of these mass shootings. They always find an online profile that tells of the coming violence. Also, they always find out that the police did talk to the perp and decided he or she wasn’t really a problem.

Actually, I'm not wrong. Yes, a court order must be entered, but ask yourself who's the petitioner? Who's seeking the court order? And how are they doing it? Most of the time, it's LE that's seeking the court order... not any "anonymous" person. At least it was when I was living in the PRNJ. And it's done "ex parte..." without the defense even knowing it's going on or being able to mount a defense before the sanction is taken. Do you really think a judge is going to question a group of LEOs as to the integrity of their petition? LEOs that work with these judges on a daily basis and have developed "trust" with the judge? Nah.... That judge is just going to sign the dammed thing.

    Damage done.

Trump knows exactly what happened in Vegas yet he remains silent. Why?

and have you noticed LE doing what ever they want without any judicial sanction? asking for "forgiveness" instead of "permission"? cops can't be trusted to tell the truth when they want to do something. the evidence of that is all over. try civil rights lawyer for starters.
