I am not sure how much information is out there on this rifle. Does anyone know if the gas tube is the same length as the 16" barreled rifle? Do they use the same weight buffer? I guess what I want to know is how different is this rifle from the SR-15 E3.2 16" rifle?

The KS-1 was the first rifle in the KS model line. It has a heavy profile dimpled 13.7” barrel, a URX6 handguard, reduced profile ambi charging handle, and a fully ambidextrous lower. All KAC rifles with less than 16” barrels have been ported to run optimally with a 2H buffer and standard carbine action spring. The 13.7, 14.5, and 16” share the same gas port location, but obviously with different port sizes. They were designed in conjunction with our low backpressure suppressors, so if you want to use a legacy or high backpressure suppressors you will need to adjust spring rate and buffer weight for optimal performance when suppressed, but the dual-ejector E3.2 bolt does give a nice range of carrier velocity while still getting good ejection.

Jack can we expect these to hit the commercial market soon or is it going to be a bit?

It is badass that you are on here and respond to questions, thank you, Jack

Hey what’s wrong with ARF? 😆

I want to know what’s being done about the bolt besides rounded lugs/extension. Jack has previously spoken to the margin of safety being too small on the Grendel bolt face.
We designed a bolt specifically for 6ARC use, and it did very well compared to just enlarging the bolt face of a 5.56 bolt.
