Using?
I’m pretty interested to see this comparison, I just got a recoilx brake for my omega as well but haven’t shot it yet. Pretty happy I went that way as quite a few guys on here don’t seem to be happy with their RR cans performance.I have a Magnus S and K RR.
I am only using them on 6.5 Creed guns. They both sound wonderful with the K being alot sharper in tone than the S. The S has a nice deep tone on a variety of barrel lengths.
As far as the brake goes. I really can't say its any better than my Omega 300 DTM.
I just picked up a recoilX brake for the Omega 300 and i'll be pitting that against my TBAC cans.
Which version are you shooting? I have a full size RR and and an S RR on order. One of my prime targets will be the 22 Creedmoor I am building.I have one and haven’t shot it a ton but I think it does a phenomenal job at recoil reduction and sound. Have really only compared to the ultra 7 with a 22 creed and 6 prc
I really like how my S sounds. I don't mind that it's louder than its non braked variant. Beyond that, I kind of feel the same way. Although, having never shot the Maverick, I can't say if that would be any better on a 6.5 Creed. Also, I cannot deny how much I like the craftsmanship on the TBAC stuff. It's really well made. I do wish that they would have included a solid end cap but apparently there was quite a bit of "lawyering" that went into the RR cans as the brake is a suppressor part and not just a simple piece of metal.I have a magnus s - rr, the recoil reduction is overhyped on smaller cartridges. The biggest disappointed is in the brake design.
Also, it seems incredibly short sighted that they did not include a solid end cap or better brake design.
It does sound great.
If I could get my money back I'd buy a maverick.
Oof. you may not get enough gas to really work the brakes. I really hope it works out for you.Which version are you shooting? I have a full size RR and and an S RR on order. One of my prime targets will be the 22 Creedmoor I am building.
Your statement is pretty oppositional from most of the people posting. There are quite a few people in here that have a contrary opinion to your statement. Do you have any first hand experience with the RR cans?TBAC RR/braked cans are great for recoil reduction and accuracy but louder than non-braked suppressors. They’re worth it for long-range or competition shooting, but if noise is a priority, quieter options might suit you better.
That’s cool the other can most likely the full size would be on my son’s 6.5 Creedmoor. I am not that worried about the 22 Creedmoor recoil. It is on a 23 pound match gun in a foundation Samson.Oof. you may not get enough gas to really work the brakes. I really hope it works out for you.

I agree.IMO, brakes suppressors seem to make the most sense to me on magnum applications, especially when you are burning 80+ grains of powder.
TBAC doesn't include a regular end cap because of how they/their lawyers interpreted the laws. It's definitely a more conservative interpretation compared to other companies.
I agree.
I knew what I was getting in that regard when I ordered the can as far as endcaps...etc. It's still a great can for general use, and it is so much better than hearing muzzle brakes. I'll bet that we will see someone like Energetic Armament come out with a flat endcap at some point. Hell, I might try running it without the brake assembly for fun.
I wish that area 419 made a 1.80-1.85 diameter can with the Maverick brake. Or maybe I just wait for the Abel Co. braked can.
Modern day sniper had a clip on YouTube of the Abel suppressor with brake on it looked good what little he showed. The new Abel setup looks slick.
I'll likely get a Theorem-L with their brake attachment at some point in the future. Mostly for my .300NM.
What did you do with the ultra after you got the ultra RR? I’ll be in that boat soonI have had the 338 Ultra a long time and now have the 338 Ultra RR. It is insanely badA with my 300 NM (230 ATips at 3100 fps, 30” barrel). Just this sweet hiss, recoil like buttah, consistent impacts at a mile. I love it.
Can't answer for them, but I personally will be moving my Ultra 338 to my super high recoiling, cannon... 6mm and 223.What did you do with the ultra after you got the ultra RR? I’ll be in that boat soon
