I'd think their measured velocity and the claimed distance would make it easy to determine if it was at the right threshold for fragmentation.Wondering if anyone has shot this in 6.5 Grendel or any other fur experience. Read a thread where someone was getting pass throughs on coyotes. Wondering if that’s the same or an odd ball.
You increase that sample size yet?Using the factory loading in my 20” 6.5 Creedmoor and have been very impressed with it. Farthest kill only around 250m so far but wouldn’t hesitate to use out to 600 on pigs. Should get a much larger sample size this fall/winter. 3096 fps avg for me at muzzle.
You increase that sample size yet?
Any at longer distances?Oh yeah. Two deer and 20 or so pigs so far. Very impressed with results and is my primary bullet for everything except elk. May actually try it next year for elk.
I see your in Georgetown. That's by the Austin area no?Oh yeah. Two deer and 20 or so pigs so far. Very impressed with results and is my primary bullet for everything except elk. May actually try it next year for elk.
Not farther than 200m. Was feeling cheeky and missed at 840m…. Past 600m would switch to 143 ELDX. Should hopefully knock some down in the 2-400m range over next couple trips, maybe even out to 600m. Have access to a new property that hasn’t been hunted much and they’ve been coming out into wheat fields during daylight hours.Any at longer distances?
