Seekins ph3

Saw this as well. Gunsamerica on YouTube has a greak breakdown, can't link right now though. Their facilities highlighted at the end look incredible. I think I’ll be picking up one of these PH3’s to try

Just watched the guns America YouTube. Looks interesting. Like the quick change barrels, although ths pinned collar seems like it might lend itself to play, and the supposed lightened bolt lift. It'll be interesting to see some start trickling out.

I am just excited as hell! Bought a PH2 last year and love it. The upgrades are really quite a leap forward.

Nice that Seekins is really advancing the under 2K production custom (my term) market with things like quick-change barrels.

The customer service I have received from them has been nothing short of PHENOMENAL.

They also have basically the same as the Vortex VIP warranty. Drop your rifle off a cliff, house fire, run it over with your truck and they’ve got you. (My understanding) I mean who does that? I don’t know of another rifle maker that does that.

Just an exciting company to watch. They also seem to have a great company employee culture. Folks I talk to over there seem to love their job. Made in the USA 🇺🇸

I agree, although I believe the only ones that need the collar are the aluminum receiver Elements. I like the older design and looks like they’re keeping that in the PH and HIT’s, just relocating the set screw lower.

Looks solid. Feature rich for the pricing and 60 degree throw

Oh. That makes sense then. Was half paying attention. Thought he was talking about the pinch bolt earlier then was talking about a collar at the end.

Was thinking about buying one of these to jump into NRL hunter but I've got a gut negative feeling on the proprietary action footprint. Not sure if that is an intelligent gut thought or not. Almost everything I have is a form of a Remington 700 footprint.

I’ve been debating a new hunting rifle in 6 creed, 6.5 creed or 6.5 PRC in a folding chassis for a little while. The element hunter looks like I can scratch all three of those itches pretty easily. It’ll be interesting to see the reviews as they hit people’s hands and how they perform when they start shooting them

I think is worth mentioning how during a time of record inflation, Glen Seekins was able to make so many upgrades and improvements to these rifles while still keeping the same price-point.

Meanwhile my grocery bill has tripled with no end in sight.

It is really quite amazing.
That’s because Glen is not some Chinese ass sucking scumbag corporation funded buy our tax payer dollars long live SEEKINS

Seekins is tearing it up. I don't see anyone offering what they are at the price they are. Too bad there are no left-hand options. Glen has come a long way since they days of making scope rings. Great for him and the people working with him.

I just think it is a great American story.

I'm glad I didn't by a PH2 in December

That's a tough call. I'm glad I bought my wife the PH2-NRL a few months back. The PH3 being heavier and features we/she doesn't need or want.

I'm happy with the short M-loc section vs full length. Saves weight and still holds a arca rail just fine. The 90° bolt lift is a non-issue.

However I can see that adjustable cheekpiece being prone to having problems. Whether it's gummed up with dust or dirt that makes it fixed in the way of being able to pull the bolt. Or wobbly because it's only held in position from a little spring tension.

I would like the barrel change feature though, but again for her application for hunting it's a non-issue.

What kind of aftermarket support can we expect?
I did a quick search, and looks like only Straight Jacket offers barrels currently

Glen covered this before. He said that after much testing the 10 twist shot best from his rifles with available factory ammo. This applies to other calibers too.
I’m guessing that he will add to barrel twist rates down the road. The switch barrel is going to really change the game for this cadre of rifles.

Yeah that’s just as bad on the 6CM. Sheesh.
8tw in a 6creed will handle everything except 110smk and 112 Barnes. Ive used 8tw with 105hybrids, 108 bergers and 107smk in a 6br with zero stability issue or reduced bc. Tack another 150+fps to the 6br speed and i think the 6creed will be OK with 8, unless the 110 or 112 bullet is what you want.

My PH3 is apparently shipping today.

New to the forum.

I ordered a PH3 online yesterday from EuroOptics. They sent me an FFL request and receipt. The latter had a ship date of that day, which surprised me so I sent them a follow up asking them if the ship date is correct. Their website says backordered and there seems to consensus on the Internet that they won't be available for a month, so I figured "that ship date has to be a mistake."

They responded, via email, today that the rifle was shipping today.

<shrugs shoulders> I still think it's a mistake, but maybe lady luck is shining on me.

I have had just bad luck with euro. I keep hoping my luck will change. Fingers crossed 🤞 yours is better.
