Desert Tech WLVRN

Ya, that horseshit. A bunch of BS mixed with facts from a whiny bitch of a former employee who got fired for some dishonest behavior. I lost a bit of respect for Brass Facts, he made little if any effort to get the factual story. shows up to the place after hours when the parking lot is empty, and when offered the opportunity to come in and interview people and get the whole story, he wasn't interested.
Of course DT has been setback, and added some delays, but for the most part things are moving ahead. Albeit slower than all involved would like.

Just for fun, and because I like the 6 ARC, I made a custom barrel for it. Fun and neat little project:

That really needs to be a factory barrel caliber option, same with 7.62x39 since they share the same bolt. I'd imagine 7.62x39 would run great in a Micron sized length since it's optimal barrel length is 12.3"

Q: When you painted that, did you disassemble the bipod hand guard or mask it carefully? came out looking great

Thanks! I did tear it all apart. Outlined the process here: gun painting

Good stuff. At least the Wlvrn doesn't have the same issues the MDRX does when it comes to complete disassembly, so painting a future acquisition should be a fun time. Mostly holding out for the micron conversions for it since my 308 MDRX is doing everything I ask of it for the moment

Any new user info on the wolverine? Just wondering how the rear takedown pin is holding up and what kind of accuracy and reliability you are getting.
I have a Wlvrn and the rear take down isn't walking out.

Rifle goes bang in the 2 calibers I've had it in (223 and 308)..Trying to find a friend who will let me borrow their 6.5cm WLVRN kit for some side by side (MDRX vs WLVRN) accuracy testing..

The 223 is very accurate, just like the 223 MDRX.

The 308 WLVRN..Well the jury is out on that one..I don't want to poo poo it too much, having only shot a sample size of (1) 308 kit and it could be my buddy had a bad barrel (also DT has moved making in house and this wasn't one of those).
I can say the 308 WLVRN did NOT like firing Fed Gold (168gr), Fed Predator (130gr), or PPU Matchline (168) with a CProducts/Dura magazine (Mdrx ran with that mag and ammo no problem).

Depends on what else is on it. Scopes and move the balance toward the center.
I suppose that’s all one really has to work with here. Except for a suppressor (or weights). Or a laser. A light would look a little weird, but I suppose that’s an option too.

On my AR, I have a similar problem with balance. So, on that platform I don’t care about suppressor weight as it really helps to even things out on a tripod. It doesn’t solve my issue, but it helps.
