Here's some Quickload numbers assuming 2.470" coal and 50gr h2o case capacity
These are HIGH pressure loads (58K-62K psi). Drop at least 1.5gr and work up
39-40gr varget
42.5-43.5gr H4350
Either one should get you about 3600fps at max pressure.
I won't publish the Staball 6.5 numbers because they're +2gr higher than max book value

Thank you very much. I was hoping to see 3600-3700, but I think at 3700 I might be spinning the bullet a little too fast for itself.
You might get 3700, those are quick load numbers and on some cartridges, it’s a bit conservative. Either way you’re pushing 333,000 rpm at 3700fps out of a 8tw so you’re just at the edge of blowing up bullets anyways.
I would consider H4350. The burn rate is close to ideal for this bullet weight. I have seen 3600 with 64 grain bullets with moderate loads and didn't see the need to push it further.
If you throat is rough, and you have a fast twist barrel, you may very well have exploding bullet syndrome of you try too push speeds much faster.

I’m also going to try some Speer 70 grain soft point Varmint bullets. Do you have any powder recommendations? (I’ve got AA2520, Varget, H4350, Staball 6.5, H4831 SC, IMR 4064 and 8208 XBR on hand)
