What was your COAL for them?Hornady 124gr XTP - Starline Brass - CCI #500's - 7.1 grains of AA#7 = 1125fps out of a G17 G5 and a Sig M18 @ 60° F
1/2" of barrel length difference between the two meant nothing.
I did have several of the batch make it into the high 1140's.
The previous session was fired in 75°'ish temps and the average velocity was a bit closer to 1150fps
I like this combo for all year, w/o worries of pressure spikes.
On a 100 degree day, with the sun beaming down on your holstered pistol, i am not too worried about pressure spikes.
Though i will try it in those conditions to be certain. (Next year)
Here my very accurate and stupid quiet 9mm subsonic load
Glock 19, SIG 229, MP5, AR9
Xtreme 165gr
1.165" COAL
CCI SPP
3.8gr VV N340
914fps SD9 over 30 shots
Thanks for sharing this115 gr FMJ or JHP
4.8-5.0 N330
4.8-5.0 N340
5.3 WSF
4.2-4.3 HTG
These all worked well as 9mm service pistol loads when I was in the process of legging out. Each one proved to be 50 yard accurate.
Thank you so much !Kind of looks like Hodgdon Longshot. 4.2gr is what I used in 135gr 9mm loads
This is not factory ammo , this is remanufactured 9mm load maded for PCC with 100 grain berrys holow base bullets.Longshot doesn't seem like it would make a good 9mm powder. Super loud and flashy. What does that factory ammo perform like?
AR 15 9mm over 2600 fps, 75 gr 1900 fps, 115 gr 1720 fps, 124gr 1600 fps.
Bullets from 50 gr to 185 gr tried.
Glock 26 with 7 1/2 shot load penetrates 1/2" plywood 6 feet ...
AR 15 9mm all 10 shots on target at 205 yds.
I run plus p in AR 15 with excellent results,
Sometimes 1" 3 shot groups at 100 yds.
And over 700 ft/lbs of energy. Bumps the performance up alot to 357 mag performance...9mm a deer cartridge in carbine form with handloads?
147 at 1300 out of a glock? That is moving with a purpose.AR 15 9mm over 2600 fps, 75 gr 1900 fps, 115 gr 1720 fps, 124gr 1600 fps.

The 9 mm will do 1600 fps in a 16" barrel with 124 gr HST, and 8.3 gr Alliant Blue Dot in a blow back AR 15, with a plus p load...not for pistols. So a locked breach rifle should be OK, just work up slowly.Just finished spinning up a 9mm AR barrel to fit a CZ 527. Made it to use some IMI sub gun ammo I bought decades ago when I didn't know better. No chrony data yet but Gordons estimates 1600 fps or so from a 16" tube. Now that the case is supported all round in a bolt gun I'll start reloading to increase the pressure/velocities and see where it goes.
After I figure out how to install a magazine and tweak a couple other minor hiccups, first things first.
Thank you,
MrSmith
Found a good reference for a starting point. Sorry to waste everyone’s time. I’ll post pictures if I blow something up.I’ve been running hornady 124gr FMJ with 5.6gr of True Blue but have finally run out and am switching to 124gr Zero bullets. The OAL will need to drop from 1.150 to 1.10 since there is a CZ in the mix and the profile is slightly different. How much drop is needed in powder charge with 0.05 OAL? I’ve looked but found nothing so barring any advise I’ll probably just drop to 4.6gr and see what happens. I do have multiple loading manuals and a chrono. Thanks for any insight
