Let's look at how they are tied into the NEA and dozens of NGO's who want to get inside kids brains when they are malleable and turn them into a socialist army of serfs who are happy in their ignorance... while claiming to be educated. See Green Organizations above... not to mention the organizations who want to destroy the nuclear family and 'create a village' to raise kids... that village being government/NGO controlled.
And then we get to the healthcare industry... Don't even get me started. I don't think anyone here who follows the Died Suddenly thread needs enlightment. Remember, you control someones health and you control them. The grasp for single payer and the collusion of pharma, insurance, government, etc. is America's biggest industry right now. Selling you cures for made-up diseases... and cures for the side effects of the cures for the made up diseases. How about big AG! Whcih is related directly to big pharma and big green. And utterly controlled by the Dept of Agriculture which, coincidently, created BS like the "Food Pyramid" which has caused health issues and diabetes at a genocidal level. But big Ag has managed to create processed food, turn our corn into biofuel, wreck the nutritional value or products... rely on chemical fertilizers that are damaging, draw down water tables... And while they are feeding the world and giving us cheap Wonder bread... are also massively taking subsidies, graft, kickbacks, providing lobbying dollars and even controlling the election process... because it's the corn and pig and Big Ag lobby in Iowa that makes the Iowa Caucuses now so critical to becoming the HMFWIC... and that's happening because of money.
Then there is NIH, CDC, DoT (You know how much graft there is in Interstate contracts and fucking bridge? Not to mention the car industry... while EPA has that covered... NHTSA falls somewhere), the FAA (ask Boeing). And then there are the entitlements.
Of course, we have not even talked about the looting of the SS trust fund, Medicaid, Medicare, WIK, Food Stamps, School Lunches (full of free cheese created by Dept of Ag. programs). And the latest years worth of anti-racist, pro-queer, genders BS that is linked to entitlements.
And we can't forget Higher Ed... billions of grants, kickbacks, student loans, variances, tax-free statuses, consulting gigs,campus research institutes... all being funneled back in political contributions and slush funds while creating an army of brainwashed idiots who can't change a tire but who can be a social worker or an unemployed expert on Bantu Lesbian interpretive dance.... This shit makes USAID look like finding change in your sofa...

It was not established by Congress. It was established by John F. Kennedy by executive order. Part of the same spirit that created the Peace Corps.
As I said in my first post. It started with noble intentions and likely did good work for its first years. It's a good concept. And we should do International Aid and Development going forward. But that aid and assistance should be aligned with our national interests. I don't believe in ending our ability or our mission to help nations/states/peoples as long as that assistance aligns with our national interests.
But it has evolved into a nasty slush fund as the facts are coming out. Rheeeeeee... notwithstanding.
It has also not 'gone away.' It has been folded into the State Department where it will (hopefully) be recussitated in a form where it receives proper oversight so that taxpayer funds will be used properly. See Rubio's comments above.
