The threaded holes were put in there for a conversation starter on gun forums.

It’s to add cant to your barreled action. That way it matches your canted rings. 
Not sure how they machine their chassis but it could be drilled and tapped for fixture holding.
Which chassis and what is the rifle’s purpose?
For target, bench and PRS style shooting, I prefer the vertical grips. For hunting, I generally find an angled grip more comfortable.

My hand feels best mostly vertical. It makes my trigger pull straight back. A fatter grip also helps not the squeeze with the fingers.
