Denmark gets set to buy.....California?

They have to show up dressed in historically accurate Viking armor and in longships. AND BRING BEER TOO. LOTS OF BEER. :ROFLMAO:

And in accordance with historically accurate Viking traditions, we have to offer tribute too. Let's give them our leftists. The Danes can put them to work on their Arctic research and industrial outposts. These coddled brats can finally be of some use to the world instead of protesting and blocking traffic.

The Danes best opportunity to make use of the worthless fucking leftists from CA - will be to use them for Polar Bear food - as long as the blue and green hair dye is not detrimental to the bear’s collective health. It will be fun listening to the CA libs tell each other that they should be safe - because they are Vegans.

California residents paid nearly $600 milllion billion in federal taxes in 2022 while receiving only ~$110 million billion in federal money. Only Texas and NY are even in the ballpark regarding how much money they contribute to the fed gov via income tax.

With a federal tax rate that tops out at over 50%, Denmark paying $18k per Dane for CA would be a steal…

Their offer is a bit low, for 1 Trillion the best we can do is to let them rent San Francisco for a year. It has a vibrant gay culture along with artisanal, locally sourced, ethnically diverse, street crime and mental illness so they can get the full experience of just the kind of lifestyle that American progressives aspire to...

That might work - throw in LA (and keep it) and it would be a conservative state again. After all, there are more republicans in California than CO, KS, NB, OK, IA, ID, SD and some other states combined. Just an overwhelming concentration of D in cities. Get rid of LA County and the bay area and its a conservative state.

Same as WA
Take seattle and Tacoma out, the entire rest of the state is red

Am I misunderstanding what wrote? Did you miss a decimal point maybe? California is number 1 taking in the most federal money of any state at 163 billion dollars.

Right - but they pay 4-5 times that amount into the federal government in taxes. They historically been a significant net funder of federal tax revenue. Carve out Cali and the rest of the states need to cover a 400-450 billion annual deficit.
Not a fan of their politics currently but you can’t overlook the fact that there are a lot of people with a lot of money there.

Yes, billion, not million. CA chips in close to 600 billion dollars, receiving less than 200 billion in return. No other state comes close to that discrepancy. Closest is Texas with about 300 billion paid and about 100 billion received.
