Rustoleum will burn off if you run it hard and turn pink. I don’t mind too much.

I just spray it with rustoleum or any other rattle can. Like someone else said, if you're doing a ton of mag dumps or getting it hot you may discolor it. Just repaint it.

Could always just wrap it in bacon and try to cook the bacon by shooting?
Engine header/exhaust manifold paint. I doubt a can gets as hot as that.
C series Cerakote is the way to go. Has an extremely high temp rating but like any coating other than black it will discolor if it is run hard.
FWIW SilencerCo uses Cerakote V-Series for their Velos LPB suppressor which is full auto rated. The V-Series has fewer color options than C-Series but is oven cure and says it is more durable than C-Series.
