The Oryx bullet is an excellent hunting bullet mushrooms even at low velocity but is constructed to were there is basically no jacket separation at higher velocity.

Seems like Norma/Ruag either is closing out the 6br Oryx ammo or doesn’t import it into the USA? Norma’s site sucks…
Agree thier site leaves alot to be desired.
They may actually be discontinuing some of the Oryx line of ammo for whatever reason I don't know since it's not one of the latest and greatest low drag forms.
Regardless they flat out work.
I can assure you that .308 absolutely does quite a number on coyotes.

I’ve killed 12 yotes now if I recall with a 20 cal and never had one get away and only 2 runners. One made it 15 yards and 1 made it 60 yards but was a bit of an ugly kill. Both died in the field. My buddies hunt with 223 and while a proper bullet it’s plenty and works phenomenal but there is so many options that sometimes the wrong one is chosen and in the last month they have lost 2 dogs and had 1 runner so they will be switching bullets.
The 20 cal is extremely capable, here some with the 204 and 20 tac
That is a HELL of a group with a 20cal at 450yds, man! Sheesh.
I only shoot the factory Hornady Superperformance stuff, and the ES/SD is sorta all over the map. Accurate enough for me, sub-MOA, but nowhere close to your handload.
Also curious to know the specs on your two rigs. I don’t run across many 20cal lovers here.
Thank you. This is a really great shooting rifle. I’ve had 4 different 20 cals and this one is just a hammer. I started with a Remington sps stainless 204, then a Remington 700 vssf II in 204, then got a semi custom highly botched up 20 tactical for a steal which I ran for a little learning the caliber and then pulled it apart and built the one I now use.
My main calling rifle is the 20 tactical;
- ks arms sa3R action
- benchmark 1:11 twist and ks arms 1:10’twist 24” #5
- manners lrh sorched earth
- tt diamond flat shoe
- Dakota/lapua 20 tactical brass
- 39gr blitzkings at 4000fps and 35gr bergers at 4050 fps
My second set up I pull out on fields that have longer shooting angles, or have call shy yotes that tend to hang up.

If wind is a potentially common issue where you hunt , I’d go for something other than .223. It’s been an eye opener for me at the range, out to 500, the difference in my Model 12 LRPV in .223 and my Tikka Super Varmint in 6.5 CM. Almost don’t even pay attention to wind with the 6.5.
Fiocchi stuff is surprisingly accurate in my Howa, 32gr stuff anyway the 40gr stuff is terrible. Once I load for this one I'll run the 39gr blitzking or 35gr berger.

I bought 243Win back when Obama was in the WH and I’ve never struck out on ammo.
I currently run 55gn varmagedon projos and I haven’t had a single coyote walk off. Took my deer w the trusty 100gn Soft point.
Pelts have been fine so far. I’m not afraid to sew a repair, haven’t seen any ham fisted blow outs.
