Sorting brass this morning, never seen a primer strike like this.

This was out of an unknown rifle as this is range brass.

Is this out of a hobbed out AR 15 that had years of abuse, causing a hobbed out firing pinhole?

The weird thing is that it’s a perfect oblong circle around the firing pin hole mark.

Does someone knows this a primer that comes that way? Looks like it was from 2018.

Okay…. Thank you for that info…. Wasn’t sure if it was a machine gun or from factory 1st time for everything!

Is that a burdenham (I know I’m not saying that right) primer? Will have to look and see if there a 2-flash holes… as that would have jacked up my press if I plug that through, unknowingly.

I know, older thread. May help some folk tho...

That's Brazilian manufactured (CBC) 5.56. Commonly sold as Magtech brand. Decent stuff for milspec.

Not berdan primed, however primer is crimped. Pocket would need reemed, or best swaged.
