There was no action in the legacy thread and I’ve always found this target to be quite challenging. I decided to bring it up to 2025.

The only prize to be offered is an improvement in your rifleman skills. If you feel like posting up your groups feel free. I’ll do my best to keep track of the Lowest Score on page 1.

Here is an example of a shot target I pulled from the legacy thread:

IMG_8954.jpeg

Rules:

1. All Targets will be shot from a Bipod & Rear Bag

2. Enter as many times as you like

3. Post your target, scored version please.

4. ColdBore means - Your first shot of the day, no exceptions.

5. Target will be shot at 100 yards or 100 meters depending on your range.

6. Lowest score wins

7. Include a Quarter with the image of you absolutely can’t score your own target and someone will likely help you.

8. Bullet just has to break the line to be counted as in the circle

Order of Shots

1. Cold Bore Shot; +1 on first target
•2 Shots touching center dot, 0 points,
•2 shots inside the circle 1 point
•1 shot inside the circle 2 point
•miss the circle with both shots 3 points

2. Zero Target to fine tune your group.
•5 shots at this target IF you need it. NOT PART OF THE FINAL SCORE.

3. 1st Dot Target - Single Shot
•Touching the black dot 0 points
•Touching the outside line +1 point
•Miss the target +2 points

4. 2nd Dot Target - Single Shot
•Touching the black dot 0 points
•Touching the outside line +1 point
•Miss the target +2 points

5. 3rd Dot Target - Single Shot
•Touching the black dot 0 points
•Touching the outside like +1 point
•Miss the target +2 points

6. Three Remaining Targets - 5 Shots EA
•Measure group size, add to score
•Groups outside the circle add 1 point to group average (example, .5MOA group outside the circle = 1.5)
•All bullets just have to break the line to be considered "In"

Took me a while to track it down. I bet a lot of new folks have never seen it and think it’s easy.
Oh, I likely still have it in my digital archives. And yes, I did find it tougher than I thought it would be. It’s excellent practice to remind you of fundamentals.

So, I did download it again.

I actually try to avoid the reloading section just because of all the damn stickies. What moron would put that many? Why not have like 5 categories and all of them can be under that. You could have a stickie for each millimeter and call it a day.

Did you know you can hit the little up arrow and make them go away?
Took me forever to figure that out.

So I will bite this. I will update the score later on, bear with me.

edit

So,
groups are 0.305, 0.405 and 0.275 MOA respectively ( you heretics and Satan children still using MOA should all be burnt at the stake)

Score 0.985

that is pretty dang hard to beat for sure.

all in all it's a very nice exercise, you get the full sense of it when you shoot it...
@giumau1 did you ever score your card? I got humbled today for sure.

Shot a 6.766 but since I’m the first scored card I’m currently the leader.
