i talked to seekins this week and unfortunately it looks like the sp10 builder kits are being permanently discontinued as far as they can see. So if you see anyone selling one and it's real, snatch it up.

You forgot Mega MML. Both are solid! And unfortunately both seem to be outgood deal yes but the sp10 is the gold standard![]()
I am hoping for that too! i guess for now there's always the JP LRI-20 upperYou forgot Mega MML. Both are solid! And unfortunately both seem to be out
I hope Icon does release small and large frame monolithic uppers now.
Possibly to build full rifles for sale for $3k-$4K+Wow that sucks. I wonder why, they sold a ton of those kits
i think it might also be high demand for the kits and not being able to keep up withthat demand in addition to the factory rifles they makePossibly to build full rifles for sale for $3k-$4K+
Maybe pressure from Europtic and/or other retailers as kits may take business away from them.![]()
Exactly. That’s what I was inferring initially based on a discussion with a sales rep a year or so ago. The pressure from retail is just a thought and not validated.i think it might also be high demand for the kits and not being able to keep up withthat demand in addition to the factory rifles they make
ughhhhhhh i wish it was 6.5 creed!!!Damn, we only have one Spartan/CS SP10 builds left and I can't afford it right now

i'm probably going with the SCI-20 with the matching ambi lower and a 17.25" mkIII handguard with 15" arca rail
On the topic of Aero https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/aero-precision-going-out-of-business-or.7246567/And zev No longer has the MNL stuff on their mega arms page. So I guess right now if you’re going for a semi monolithic design, you would have to go with either JP or aero
In which case they will just go with something other than Seekins. A guy who is going to put a $8-1200 custom barrel on their AR will go with another option. If I was Seekins I’d just sell complete rifles and force people to pay the extra money.
you're exactly right. For the monolithic or semi monolithic options, unless ZEV puts the Mega MML stuff back on their site, you're mostly stuck with JP For the LRI-20 upper or the LRP-07 set, or go with aero m5 enhanced upper with a sgt of arms arca forend. Unfortunately for Aero, I don't trust their QC at all, so for my needs JP seems to be the best option, at least for a custom build. In which case they will just go with something other than Seekins. This really sucks. Seekins makes one of the best platforms for rifle builds in small and large frame. Not everyone wants their canned rifles. It's really foolish IMO, as they could sell damn near everyone they make.
Sounds like they need to expand then. They're perpetually backordered which suggests they already sell every one they make. From what I understand they have to reduce output of rifles to sell builder kits.
Well considering I can buy rifles in stock at any time, but not kits, then how is that a problem? I am sure the margin is a bit better on Rifles but there is much less that goes into making them as well. Focusing on putting out as many Builder kits as possible would be a great way to move a ton of product. Also, people are much more likely to buy 2, 3, 4, 8 builders kits to make rifles than buy more than 1 or 2 factory rifles. They're perpetually backordered which suggests they already sell every one they make. Seekins doesn't sell SP10's direct. If an SP10 is in stock at a retailer it is because it was already purchased from Seekins. Perhaps the real issue is retailers don't want to order builder kits? It sounds like there could be a business opportunity for you, send Seekins an email explaining you would like to cut them a PO for 1000 units, no terms. I bet they'll take your order.Well considering I can buy rifles in stock at any time, but not kits, then how is that a problem?
