It appears as if a strike is rolling through the NYS prison system with Fuer Hochul activating 2000 National Guard Members and possibly as many as 5000….. Things about to get a little spicey

There should be an organization that helps COs avoid any legal action by the state. You know, like sanctuary cities/states do for illegal aliens.

Wait a minute, hasn't DJT made comments in the past for wanting to use the military to guard our southern border and gotten chastised for that?
Now Hochel wants to use National Guard for non military action? I'm smelling hypocrisy .

Take away the guards… fine.

Lock the cells. Turn out the lights. Turn off the heat. Turn off the water.

Leave the prisoners locked up…

Only reason they need guards is to control prisoners who aren’t in their cells.

The bunny huggers will be screaming about th poor prisoners in minutes.

9 missed meals and things get really sporty!

FIFY

Well they had to do something suddenly they could no longer aid illegals / cartels and they absolutely hated being called out for beating a handcuffed inmate to death- had to strike , couldn’t have the tax cattle holding to account or anything

Not everyone in prison, deserves to be there. How shallow our memories are………

I grew up in a shit town called Lynn, MA. Lots of Greeks and Sicilians from the old country. At least they were legally admitted and received no handouts. Lots of other underprivileged groups as well. Always made for fun times.

Anyways, we had 2 HUGE General Electric plants. One made jet engines, and the other made turbines for large ships.

A fairly large company that did very specialized machining for the turbine side went through a unionization process. The company had been in Lynn for a long time and employed 500 or so people. It was very hard to get a job there because they picked the best and paid them accordingly. The company tried to negotiate, but demands were "non-negotiable" or just unrealizable. Employees showed up on a Monday for work only to find the building locked. There was a sign that said the business had closed and provided some information for unemployment. They moved the work to another facility in New England.

Reagan fired the ATC, which struck against Federal regulations.

I can't believe this strike would not be subject to a Federal regulation.

Some people fail to understand their true worth to any organization.

I’m surprised the government allowed them them to close.

Judgeorders Statbucks to reopen.

Im an ex SSO, and many of my friends are Co's at Midstate, and Marcy Correctional. The media is not reporting 1/10th of whats going on. The big complaint of the CO's is the HALT ACT. Its endangering the safety of the Staff, and giving the Inmates pretty much freedom to do what they want. Inmates are not in cells, but dorms, that house about 15 at a time. The staff are mandated to work 24 hours shifts, and some are working 36.!!!!!

National Guard units are deployed to Attica, and a few others, where they promptly left. Pretty much the inmates are in control.

The CO's dont really care about the threats Hocal is saying, because they know its all just shit talk.
Staffing levels are at 70% and getting worst by the day.

Im off to support my Brothers by joining the picket lines this afternoon.
Say prayers that this gets solved quick!

Its a real shit show, and its going to explode.

I have a few friends that are in the NG, and have been activated. The part that I remember from them talking about it, was that there are some weird illnesses that seem to be impacting the COs at these places, and it's a very large percentage that are experiencing symptoms. Haven't heard if it's also impacting the inmates as well, but nobody is liking this situation.

Already short staffed now that 11 have been charged with murder .

The New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association issued a statement in December reading, "What we witnessed is incomprehensible to say the least and is certainly not reflective of the great work that the vast majority of our membership conducts every day... This incident has the potential to make our correctional facilities even more violent, hostile, and unpredictable than ever before."

In other words Beatings shall continue until morale improves.
