It was there, then it wasn't.... I got a notification, looked at the price... and didn't purchase any.
Still have a couple pounds for the 223 Ackley, when its gone will find something else that works.
8208 XBR also showed up.

Last time I saw it was probably a year ago, managed to snag 20# from Powder Valley at a much better price.
Still my favorite powder for heavies in my 223AIs but it's been damn hard to get since 2020.
Wonder if they made enough to get some to distributors...

AR2206H seems to be widely available in Australia again, you guys seem to get priority over local shops so it shouldn't be that hard to source?
No idea. I've chatted with several Aussie members over the last few years H4895 has been unobtanium here in the US and they said they had no issues getting 2206H in Australia. Not sure why it's not making it here to the US in decent quantities.
Picked up 8# from Natchez yesterday. Called to confirm they actually had it - it had come in that morning. Also, 1#er's available directly from Hodgdon. I paid $513 with all fees including MD 6% tax. Works out to about 24 cents a round for .223/5.56, and I win matches with it. Best powder I've found for 55-69gr. bullets.
I have since switched all my powder purchases to Vihtavouri over the last year, and been just as happy...while saving $100/keg.

It was said above, but I'll second that N135 is a pretty solid substitute for H4895.
It's funny that the powder world pulled an uno reverse card a few years ago and vihtavuori is now the "budget friendly" option. When I first got into shooting and reloading around 2001 the pricing was exactly the opposite, vihtavuori was the highest priced powder and hodgdon and imr were less expensive. I remember quite a few old timers back then telling me I was crazy buying that expensive purple top powder... Lol
AR-COMP Is another very good substitute for H4895 if you can find it.
Alliant is good stuff but their prices were some of the first to reach the ridiculous category, and unfortunately it looks like hodgdon is now priced right up there with alliant.
Regarding AR comp being a substitute for H4895, it wasn't for me. All my 223s and 223AIs love AR Comp for 40-55gr loads with excellent velocity and accuracy and it's my go to powder for the lighter bullets, but after testing I found AR comp was nowhere near as accurate as H4895 in any of them for the 69-80gr bullets. I was disappointed finding that AR comp didn't work nearly as well as H4895 for the heavies as I was hoping I could use one powder for all my 223 & 223AI loads especially as AR comp was fairly available while H4895 has been nearly impossible to get since 2020. Of course, your experience may vary.
There is none . H4895 can be used for reduced loads, down to 60 percent of max .
I don't use it much in 223 mainly 50gr ballistic tips I primarily use ball powders in it.

VV N135 is absolutely an excellent equivalent for H4895 boss. Vihtavouri literally lists it as a .308 and .223 midweight-bullet powder (much like H4895). N135 probably isn't quite as temperature stable, but I haven't tested that aspect of it yet.
23.5gr N135 underneath a 69gr SMK at 1.910 CBTO shoots little bugholes in my .223 trainer. Back off about a grain for the 77gr SMK.
I also love N135 in the Grendel.
That was before Hodgdon, rather than working to improve the supply of it's powders like H4895/H4198, began to acquire the other powder companies. Now Hodgdon is Hodgdon, Accurate, IMR, and I believe even Ramshot. Surprised that powder prices in the US have increased far more than European powder???
FWIW I am trialing some reduced loads with N-135 in 308 using the 125 SST. I will report back if there are any ignition issues in cold weather.
I have used IMR 4895 for reduced 308 loads with identical results to H4895, again using the 125 SST. No ignition issues even with charges in the 60% of max range, and velocities in the 2250 fps range.

Same. Went from using all Hogdon to all VV powders.
Can't stomach the price of Hogdon stuff anymore, and VV powders perform.
Bullshit,.N135 can not do what H4895 can do . Can you find published data that states it can be used as a 60% of Max reduced load like H4895 ?

See, I was trying to be somewhat respectful until you came in and proved (yet again) why contraceptives are important.
Reduced loads weren't even brought up until post #19 when some Neanderthal-sounding, gun counter hero, who eats his Snickers upside down (so he can feel the vein on his tongue) - YOU - mentioned it. Until that point, we had drifted into discussing viable alternatives to $65/pound gunpowder for the other 99% of the population looking for... an equivalent. You of course, can be that 1% (you always are).
But you are correct...H4895 can be used for reduced loads. I will not argue that, it is a correct statement. Congratulations, you made up an argument after the fact, based upon your parameters, and won.
I will now continue to use N135 as a replacement (equivalent) in every cartridge that I have ever used either IMR or H4895 for, with the security in knowledge that you won't be buying up my supplies due to your necessity for reduced loads (@Dimefox , this isn't at you brother, best of luck on that .270 load).
I am sure that you will undoubtedly rehearse your next response in the shower, while you are also wondering if things aren't looking smaller because maybe your thighs are just getting fatter. Even more useful than bickering or calling BS on a niche use case for an alternative powder (H4895 reduced loads)... You could actually experiment yourself and provide some useful data to other shooters here at SH. I lead by example in the case of IMR 4895 and would be happy to share if others are interested.
My desire to trial N135 for the same purposes is the cleaner burning nature of the VV powders.
Perhaps I'm sitting on a small gold mine. I picked up a pound of H4895 several years ago at my LGS when I couldn't find any IMR-4895 (for my M1A) and I never bothered to open the bottle to load any. Came back from a deployment 3 months later and snagged 16lbs of IMR-4895 online instead. 
I was in College Station this past week for my annual refresher at fire school and visited a local shop. Low and behold they had both H4895 and H4198. I was tempted to buy some, but at $75/lb I decided I didn't need any bad enough. When I got home Friday I had a notification from MidwayUSA and one other (can't remember who), so supplies may be picking up.
