"Fishback included a document that does some of the math. If DOGE is able to meet its goal of $2 trillion in savings, “take 20 percent of DOGE’s total savings ($400 billion) and return it to the 79 million U.S. households that will be the net payers of the federal income tax” this year.

That adds up to about $5,000 per household."

Westcott tried to rescind deal, 2 days later, he said he was on pain killers and delusional -
"Carl Westcott, 85, agreed to sell his 1930s estate in the celebrity enclave of Montecito, California to Perry in 2020 for $11.25million, but days later tried to nix the deal claiming he was under the influence of painkillers when he signed."

"Perry was declared the legal owner of the gated 1930s estate which boasts a tennis court, two guesthouses and a pool, in December 2023 after a nearly four-year legal battle with Westcott.

But she still wants to knock around $6million off the sale price, claiming that the bedridden octogenarian – currently receiving hospice care for Huntington's disease – owes her vast sums for repairs and lost rental income."

Katy Perry is condemned as 'unforgiveable' by family of 85-year-old veteran she evicted from her $15M home as she files for $6million (in back rent and alleged damages)

Correct.

Also, the term “peasant food” is pretty funny because up until modern times peasant food was quite nutritious.

Peasant food today is processed garbage, which makes fatties. Processed food and obesity should be treated like cigarettes and smokers.
Not being argumentative, but did you have kids in the schools during this time? I did, and the meals went to shit. The students who played sports had to have supplemental meals to get enough calories to practice and compete. The portions were smaller, quality and selection were reduced, and they stopped using seasonings. Now that things are out from under the Obama thumb, our schools participate in a farm to fork program that includes meals prepared from locally grown vegetables and local meat. It is a world of difference.

I did not, but was very involved with a local school to the point of wanting to do a restricted endowment. The school menus were thought out to be healthy and meet calorie requirements. Nobody was going to starve if they ate their entire lunch.

Smaller portions are fine as long as the required calories are hit for weight maintenance, Which they were. It’s hard for kids to go from a 1,200 calorie shit lunch to a 700 calorie quality lunch.

The kids playing sportsball should have the supplemental calories provided by their parents, or paid for with sportsball funds.

Schools got rid of Frito Pie... WTF..
current School meals suck. Schools allow kids to buy, energy drinks and soda with their meal plan.. WTF
as a parent, you have no say. you put $$ on your kids account and tell the school its for meals only. The school says they can't direct how the money will be spent.
The school lunch program was started, so kids could have at least 1 FULL meal of total calories for a day. Back in the day, not all kids were able to eat 3 square meals. So, the meal program was started so, even the poorest kids, could get their full 1200 - 1500 calories.
We were allowed seconds, after everyone ate, in case you were still hungry.
FK Broccoli !!

My parents never allowed me to eat school food. I never allowed my kids to eat the school food without knowing what was being served. Didn't matter who was in office; the food choices were poor. Most of these decisions are done at the local level, and the Federal guidelines are terrible. Therefore, they were sent to school with lunch every day - 5 kids for their entire 12 years of school.

It isn't hard to ensure that your kids eat well. You just have to prioritize it. Once again, parents prove that they take the easy way out.

I agree with you, but I believe school lunch is a place where really good change and impact can be made. Once all the fallout gets settled from Trumps changes to the department of education, I will again look into supporting the local school system.

I believe the new emphasis on being healthy, and the trades programs, will be a positive. I’d love to fund a school’s trades program, and would even fund a quality school lunch program as long as the school will accept a restricted endowment so zero funds go to sportsball, and minimal funds go to administration.

Hell, I’d fund the hiring of new PE instructors if schools implemented a really good physical fitness program (not sportsball).

Hallelujah..........

they should audit him before he leaves, and get some of that Ukraine money back.

Thousands Of World War II-Era Weapons Found Buried Underneath An Elementary School In Tokyo

"The grenades and bullets that were found have been collected by authorities, but the swords and firearms that are believed to be replicas were disposed of by the city."

I bet they were ALL classified as replicas and then given to friends. Politicians are the same, all over the world.

For sale, 1945 Imperial Japanese sword, no low-ball offers, Authentic, I know what I got.

Fake news.
This isn't South Park. Chefs don't work in cafeterias. The only good thing that came from that waste of tax money was that more kids started taking their lunches. Just like school closures during the scamdemic caused parents to realize their kids were being taught garbage, Big Mike's nutrition program showed them their kids were being fed garbage. Big Mike didn't get to be Big Mike by eating vegetables

DEI hire San Diego CA fire captain, who may have been the same one who last month who said that "LA did not have the resources to fight the fires", found stabbed to death inside her mansion. Police are saying that it is likely a case of domestic violence and she knew her killer...

OR...

She was about to blow the whistle on some real dirty insider info behind the LA wildfires and Newsom had her Clintoncided...

What is in the water out there? Why is every fire captain a lesbian?
