It appears as if a strike is rolling through the NYS prison system with Fuer Hochul activating 2000 National Guard Members and possibly as many as 5000….. Things about to get a little spicey

There should be an organization that helps COs avoid any legal action by the state. You know, like sanctuary cities/states do for illegal aliens.

Wait a minute, hasn't DJT made comments in the past for wanting to use the military to guard our southern border and gotten chastised for that?
Now Hochel wants to use National Guard for non military action? I'm smelling hypocrisy .

Take away the guards… fine.

Lock the cells. Turn out the lights. Turn off the heat. Turn off the water.

Leave the prisoners locked up…

Only reason they need guards is to control prisoners who aren’t in their cells.

The bunny huggers will be screaming about th poor prisoners in minutes.

9 missed meals and things get really sporty!

Well they had to do something suddenly they could no longer aid illegals / cartels and they absolutely hated being called out for beating a handcuffed inmate to death- had to strike , couldn’t have the tax cattle holding to account or anything

Not everyone in prison, deserves to be there. How shallow our memories are………

I wish I was at liberty to talk more about the situation, all I can say is WOW 🤯 …. Some things you just cannot make up!!! I wonder if Elon has some free time… curious as to how things will play out between Hochul and Trump and Hegseth when NY tries to submit this bill to the feds for reimbursement

I grew up in a shit town called Lynn, MA. Lots of Greeks and Sicilians from the old country. At least they were legally admitted and received no handouts. Lots of other underprivileged groups as well. Always made for fun times.

Anyways, we had 2 HUGE General Electric plants. One made jet engines, and the other made turbines for large ships.

A fairly large company that did very specialized machining for the turbine side went through a unionization process. The company had been in Lynn for a long time and employed 500 or so people. It was very hard to get a job there because they picked the best and paid them accordingly. The company tried to negotiate, but demands were "non-negotiable" or just unrealizable. Employees showed up on a Monday for work only to find the building locked. There was a sign that said the business had closed and provided some information for unemployment. They moved the work to another facility in New England.

Reagan fired the ATC, which struck against Federal regulations.

I can't believe this strike would not be subject to a Federal regulation.

Some people fail to understand their true worth to any organization.

I’m surprised the government allowed them them to close.

Judgeorders Statbucks to reopen.

Im an ex SSO, and many of my friends are Co's at Midstate, and Marcy Correctional. The media is not reporting 1/10th of whats going on. The big complaint of the CO's is the HALT ACT. Its endangering the safety of the Staff, and giving the Inmates pretty much freedom to do what they want. Inmates are not in cells, but dorms, that house about 15 at a time. The staff are mandated to work 24 hours shifts, and some are working 36.!!!!!

National Guard units are deployed to Attica, and a few others, where they promptly left. Pretty much the inmates are in control.

The CO's dont really care about the threats Hocal is saying, because they know its all just shit talk.
Staffing levels are at 70% and getting worst by the day.

Im off to support my Brothers by joining the picket lines this afternoon.
Say prayers that this gets solved quick!

Its a real shit show, and its going to explode.

I have a few friends that are in the NG, and have been activated. The part that I remember from them talking about it, was that there are some weird illnesses that seem to be impacting the COs at these places, and it's a very large percentage that are experiencing symptoms. Haven't heard if it's also impacting the inmates as well, but nobody is liking this situation.

Already short staffed now that 11 have been charged with murder .

The New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association issued a statement in December reading, "What we witnessed is incomprehensible to say the least and is certainly not reflective of the great work that the vast majority of our membership conducts every day... This incident has the potential to make our correctional facilities even more violent, hostile, and unpredictable than ever before."

In other words Beatings shall continue until morale improves.

Yep I’m sure it’s a rough gig - when 10 of 17 get indicted on 2nd degree murder and gang assault - and one of 17 for trying to destroy evidence and the other 5 present do nothing but laugh you know you’re dealing with with a squad of hard killers .
So when they get sentenced will their old gang members be less or more apt to beat them?

Up date...

A good friend ( Sargent) was slashed in the head yesterday while working in the mess hall. He needed 12 stitches..
There’s a lot more going on and very little reporting on it, let alone what is going on now, on the inside, I’ll leave it at that, as I’m not at liberty to speak on it. Speaks volumes in the call up numbers and mobilization of troops to these prisons, but it can’t be too high of a priority or concern for the governor if they’re content to wait till Monday to even start to have mediation. I have a quick solution, put the NY politician inside there and let them be the ones guarding the “incarcerated individuals “, and yes, that’s how you have to refer to them, start with Hochul and the liberals first, let’s see how quick their tune switches.

I’d almost care if half the incarcerated people weren’t there for victimless crimes but just being enemies of the state and it’s revenue generating arm.

Seems all the illegals murderers kiddy fuckers ect are walking around free- with a “hands off” order protecting them .

So hazard pay is surprise money?

Now it makes even less sense.
Not sure what Suprise money is. But thinking you're going to knife fight all day long.
Go into a prison with a knife you will not have a job long. If you use it, you will be charged.
If you would happen to see it coming, think about surviving long enough for the Calvery to get there.
The inside is a different world. The administration has hamstrung those doing the job. Every momma and babymomma is on the phone to the warden (why the warden actually speaks to the public is beyond me) as soon as their babys right have been violated, like telling them their dayroom is over. The power has been handed over to inmates through lawyers and politicians. The prisons are full of drugs to include phytanyl, so that puts the personnel in the mailroon in danger of overdose just from being exposed. The same goes for CO's doing routine cell searches, or when they have to rescue an inmate who has ODed or is just so high they have no idea where they are, and have to be taken to the health care unit to be checked out and observed till they aren't high anymore. And it's so prevalent that they don't even get a ticket out of it!

Sorry for the rant.
Should probably write a book.

I can't even imagine how you thought i was serious about knife fighting inmates all day. I feel like you spent a lot of time in your youth walking around with a "kick me" sign stuck to your back. Hyperbole my man.

Now the NYARNG is setting up a full time state active duty mission to replace the CO’s. They are currently paying an additional $1000 to every Soldier that is on the mission currently, which is approximately 7,000 soldiers, and originally a $2000 stipend for those in the prisons, and just upped that to $4000/ month. Mind you, this is currently an involuntary activation. Word is, a bunch of the CO’s are reporting in with workers comp claims and doctors notes and being sent home…. Once again, the state is abusing the workforce they have in the guard by using them to augment paying for actual trained workforce. They do it currently with Empire Shield where they use them to augment transit police and in subways because it’s cheaper and they aren’t on the hook for any retirement and they have no real authority. Oh, did I mention the guard soldiers going into the prisons are getting an hour of training, before putting them into the prisons? These aren’t all MP’s being put in there.

They are currently expending over $1,000,000/ day to pay for these soldiers, that doesn’t count the aircraft fuel cost, that is in excess of $2,000,000 so far, vending to feed the 7000, or the lodging they’re paying for, in support of this. Oh and the Soldier activated on this mission and are in the prisons, oh, they’re sleeping in the prisons too. Some of them staying in the areas of the prisons that aren’t up to standards for the “incarcerated individuals”, I shit you not, that is what they are supposed to refer to them as, not criminals, prisoners, or inmates. Apparently the head of the National Guard Bureau is supposed to tour some of the prisons tomorrow. What a failure this state is.

my GS is FL NG til Aug. hope the F things stay calm here. am afraid with NG use anywhere they will be neutered and made helpless by orders to not use live fire until fired on. when that happens some of your guys are already dead.
They aren’t given ammo… they’re given unloaded weapons and told, good luck. The NG in NY is the states personal cheap labor. When you run the numbers and the mandatory 12 hour shifts they are also required to work, the amount they’re paid is way below minimum wage. Yet in this liberal state screaming for a “living wage” it’s not an issue when they’re slave labor for an incompetent administration. Then you factor in the aviation units exceeding duty days for crew members and making up rules, it’s never an issue until something bad happens. You’re not supposed to knowingly perform in excess of a 12 hour duty day, yet repeatedly they’ve flown knowing they were going to exceed those limits, before they even hopped into the aircraft and the COC are the ones pushing it. They’re duty days are supposed to start from the time they leave their HOR and return to their HOR, and on multiple times so far on this mission, they’ve worked 14+ hours and that just counts the showtime they arrive at the facility.

This is how International Harvester went under as well. Refused unreasonable union demands. They struck and IH folded.

Well the same union head that allowed this was “negotiating” this abomination as well. Heard they fired a grand total of 10 corrections officers so far. And apparently like 1000 National Guard Soldiers signed up to perform the corrections job…. We’ll see how fast the turnover rate is from them. But apparently on top of the $4000 stipends, they’re also going to get put up in hotels and have full per diem… this bill is already ridiculously high and it’s only been 2 weeks
