New Bolt Action from Springfield Armory (700 footprint, 10/22 mags)

Bringing this to the top……
I purchased one of these rifles a few months ago hoping for “minute of squirrel” accuracy with a supersonic ammunition choice for squirrels and any other varmints I typically run in to..…
Since purchasing this pos I have fired approximately 550-600 rounds thru the rifle and have yet to find a decent candidate.
Shooting 50 yards, with a bipod and rear bag, both prone and from a bench, I have yet to find anything I actually feel is usable thru this gun.
I’ve tried SK rifle match, SK high velocity match, SK standard plus, eley tenex, lapua center x, cci standard, cci stinger, federal auto match, Remington thunderbolt, Winchester bulk crap, and any other random crap I could find to shoot out of it.
The best shooting flavor for my gun was cci standard (.56”)….which is alright for shooting targets but I prefer high velocity for poking holes in critters, my preferred load the stingers grouped an average of 1.75” at 50y across 4-5 5rd groups.
I’ve considered picking up a tuner to play with….or possibly bedding the action…I’m ignorant when it comes to “fixing” a poorly shooting rimfire, so any ideas are welcome.
Also in testing this gun I’ve cleaned and retorqued everything on the gun a few times, shot it with 3 separate optics (arken sh4, athlon Midas tac and a known good scope off another 22) and shot with/without my dead air mask (rifle shot marginally better suppressed) all of which showed no real improvement in accuracy.

I pulled my action from the stock and could see the uneven contact between the action and stock. I used foil tape to bed the action.
Mine also prefers cci standard velocity.
The squirrels I've shot all died.

Please review my own thread and then examine your own rifle. As for groups with high velocity ammo, what rifle do you presently own or have shot that does group the ammo from your list ?

I have a cz 457 precision varmint and it groups SK high velocity very well, the reason I’ve shot so much lower end crap they it is mainly frustration….i figured “well i have the ammo what’s it going to hurt just to try it” not expecting the cheap “bulk” ammo to do well…surprisingly enough the Remington thunderbolts were the best grouping high velocity flavor I tried

From what I’ve read , you can look down the bore , muzzle end and “SEE” a ring of sorts where the threading ends / shoulders on the barrel on a lot of these rifles
I have one but have not spent much time with it ( health issues )
One person , I can’t remember if it was a YouTube video or on a forum , found that he could improve his groups by action screw torque , he worked his way up and down on the screws to find the sweet spot
