There are so many woke communists wearing officer rank insignia that all this does I'd give us a four year reprieve of their shit.

I got exposed to the depths if it back from 2012 - 2015. It is the reason why I passed on a six-figure GS-14 job in the beltway after retirement, and chose to yell at cows for almost no income...and I'm highly better off now.

They dynamic will also be interesting because those 6-figure GS-14 jobs are also going to be de funded.

And the 6-figure “holding pattern” jobs at USAID funded think tanks and make-work fake organizations… are going to be gone.

So getting them “out” of the field-grade ranks may be harder than just “expecting them to see the writing in the wall and putting in their paperwork.” None of them are going to want to go home to Pigknuckle Nebraska and run an auto parts store. So they will dig in like a tick and bide their time… most probably laying off the DEI crap and doing little damage. Some probably doing a lot of damage until rooted out.

So going to be interesting!!!

Yep!

I had a GS-13 sitting behind me that was so worthless, that the higher ups had to create and hire a contract position for someone to just watch over him. No shit. He was an IT guy...but was incompetent at everything including IT. He came to us from the VA (go figure).

Back when I researched it in 2013, there were only about 300 federal employees in government (not LEO capacity) who were terminated the previous year, and almost all of those were for cause (breaking a law). Maybe a handful were for performance, which is BS. It almost takes an act if congress to terminate one for piss poor productivity.

^ Which is why I'm pretty tickled about the current situation.

But there is a ton of information from a historical perspective that states the exact opposite. The greater the diversity within a society the more that society digresses in education, safety and overall quality of life.

I was but a kid (many, many years ago) when I heard that line of BS for the first time, and even then I recognized it for what it was - propaganda. I grew up in the Deep South, and we had plenty of “diversity”, but it was not a strength. For the most part, the diversity part was also the mostly-incompetent part. Diversity is NOT our strength, nor is it a weakness in and of itself. Our strength is in putting competent and capable individuals in positions where they can make a difference, and not allowing their particular demographic to influence that opportunity, or lack thereof.

News flash. The Military has always pushed wokeism. In the 1980's it was called EO...Equal Opportunity. Mandatory classes for all. There were quota's for specific classes of race/ethnicity in promotions. In the Army, everyone was rank ordered for promotion based on "merit", or "Best Qualified". The they went down the list and once your race/ethnicity quota was filled, you were skipped over to fill the remaining quotas by the next person on the list of the unfulfilled quota's.

Joint Chiefs DO, in fact, get swapped out with new administrations. Trump's pick was Milley, Biden's pick was Brown, Trump's second pick is Raisin Bran... or whatever.

It is also most unfortunate that standards DO get waived to allow lesser personnel to fill slots beyond their qualifications.

I was hopeful that we might return to standards and discipline instead...
