Ukraine war Bullshit.

We could actually stop the "inevitable conflict with China" if we wanted to.
We'd just need some actual guts to make facts on the ground permanent and stop pandering to greedy corporations.
We'd also need to purge our own ranks of all the CCP controlled, funded, bribed and influenced entities that shape policy in this country.
We'd need to have reasonable and fair hard boundaries and lines that are fair to both sides and be willing to stick to them with a big stick if needed.
We'd also need to stop putting special interests and the profits of our corporations first.
I hope you’re right. However, the only reliable way to stop a conflict with someone who desires your destruction is to kill them first.

Honestly - everything seems to indicate they’re outgrown us.

All they really need to do is stay clear of our shenanigans…

The rest of the world has already decided that a “diversified investment portfolio” with or without America is a prudent choice (BRICS).

It will be IMMENSELY HARD for us to reindustrialize, whatever form that may take.

I’m not even certain “reindustrialization” is all that’s required.

But the war against communism has not ended. It’s even matured a front inside the US.

Well the truth of that is...
Communism as we know it in modern times started in the West!
Communism was sent by western powers and (those who can't be named) to Russia to destroy Russia and crush it.

Were it not for western funding and essentially "helping" along with the west, both Russia and China never would have been overtaken by the communists.

The Communists in the USA and Europe are pretty much who helped Communists have the ability to take over and spread.

I'll bet we could "regime change" China pretty easily if the CIA and our government and the "special, special forces" actually want to get it done.
But then there would be no money in that at all so...

Much like we could "regime change" Iran as well, but hey then why would all the oil rich types need to keep buying billions of dollars of weapons?

The CIA's record of regime change hasn't been stellar.

The CIA's record of regime change hasn't been stellar.

I guess it depends.
Have you noticed how many governments we overthrew with "organic causes" during the past 20 years?

The problem of course is that we often turn around and install worse people than before.
Or in the case of Hamas, they were less bad to the locals than the folks we put in so...

We've been overthrowing governments and rigging elections and stuff very successfully for like the past 60+ years

It's just that we don't usually do it for the good of the people but rather for power and profits.

If what he's saying is that they are already thinking of what they're doing after we fail (which seeing how people are still supporting THEFT of their tax monies) and the next 100 years, I have to agree. They see us as an almost already defeated country. They have embedded themselves in every facet of our life that has silicon in the mix. The once symbiotic relationship has now grown to favor them (by a long shot). Unless Trump can reverse this trend (via tarrifs and trade) then the end of our enconomy and indeed life as most American's know it will be long gone.

We squandered our gains (welfare, civil service jobs in place of productivity, research and innovation), got into endless wars and generally acted more like the bully on the block than a leader of all nations. Heck, we didn't even try to "make nice" with former adversaries like, dare I say it, Russia - to strengthen the western alliance against China. Not that we'd ever "be friends" with Russia, but their history is much more in line with most of western civilization than China. Yet, for whatever reason, after the wall fell, it just fell. No long term alliances struck - just the same NATO stuff but with more countries. I've been calling China the real enemy for at least 30 years, but everybody is still stuck on Russia. Even today...Russia must be destroyed...through Ukraine...the very concept is stupid.

We chose to follow “zero sum” principles…

And with our blind sense of Exceptionalism, we never once considered the possibility that we could lose.

yea forgot Syria as same. Africa is a mess that colonialists, mostly England divided up according to their own wants. they paid no attention to pre existing tribal areas. many African tribes hate each other and have fought for years. blood enemies were stuck in the same possession and labeled as countries. big mess not a big surprise.
somewhat similar to the self Balkanization that we have done in this country.

I'd say it is entirely possible those that put him in charge and laundered monies through him told him to kill the deal with Donnie.
Or he'll end up like the others.

yeah, seems like they will keep the money laundering going until there are no christian men left alive to send.

Hey......what's his last name ? I've seen him a couple of times before, but I've never caught it........

TIA :)

Sachs.

Had the pleasure of corresponding with him briefly around a year ago.

One of the rare people who knows everything firsthand, has seen everything firsthand - all the filth that we’ve done - and speaks up against it.

That Twitter segment with him sitting in that grotesque chair that keeps getting recirculated was sourced from the Cambridge Union Debating Chamber - the video is available on YouTube but is an hour and a half long,

The Tom Cotton and Lindsey Graham types would likely deem him “unpatriotic.” :ROFLMAO:

I think he realizes his money train has come to a close and the faster Z can get eliminated the less chance of Z spilling the beans about how much went back to...

This provides him a perfect chance to sound all pro American for a change while actually just covering his tracks.

I worked in the State Department, oooh sooo long ago, and fancy myself extremely well read.
I think "Well read" would be a function of the quality of the material as much or more than how much material you expose yourself to.
The relevancy of the opinions you form from that exposure would be very dependent on the context and accuracy of the material you absorbed.

Interestingly, you might could decode the context with some work but are still at the mercy of trusting the author to be correct and accurate.

As can be demonstrated by infinite examples, not all written, audible or even imagery based communications are without flaw. The presentation can flex in the direction that the presenter desires and yet still be labeled by the consumer as a benchmark resource for a particular subject matter.

I would guess that having a basic grasp of the subject would be the foundation for a person to expand their understanding and opinions by digesting what they can while at the same time considering the sources. Add in some objective reasoning and common sense to see if it passes the sniff test as well.

I guess I am saying all of that to say that being Well Read or even Extremely Well Read does not in itself automatically make one correct or even an authority on a subject. It would certainly provide a trove of information at your disposal to be used in a focused and civil debate but it is not automatically a sole qualifier to understanding the facts of a matter.

Can you give me one good, solid reason why I should give a flying fuck about Russia, Crimea or Ukraine?

I've tried to come up with a reason and I can't.

I've done the same with fighting Muslim countries.

I've done the same with African tribal wars.

Still can't find a reason to give a fuck.
If you do not care, nothing I am going to say will change that. There are many reasons to be concerned about Ukraine's situation, and it is in no way similar to Africa, and not sure what you are referring to "Muslim countries".

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^!!!
Especially true in many other aspects/vocations as well.
How many in a stack,... fact check vs lock step, until they "Hit" the wrong house?
How many none thinkers vote, based upon a single issue, or how their parents voted. Even presented with irrefutable facts what they read or see is the only truths to them. The major reason this country is so fucked up is none thinkers, have been taking media input as "Fact" for over 60+ years. The same reason g. sorass wants to own so many US radio stations. The American public & most in Gov are so stupid, a first year psyop student can sway them into some really stupid decisions,...
