Dnt The one vs ares etr 4.5-30

They're pretty close to be honest. I don't think the ARES are worth the extra 200$
I went with the DNT because I wanted the 35x at the top for my 550y KYL and it was a bit easier to spot the 223 impacts on the smaller targets than with my 5-25 Midas Tac

Here in Canukistan, the Ares is $1609, and the DNT is $899, retail.

I have the Athlon Midas Tac 5-25 on my B14R right now! I can't believe how good the glass is, noticeably better than my Vortex DBT and my Arken.

You can’t go wrong with either, but I’d lean toward the 35X, like someone up there mentioned.

I just got in an Athlon Ares 2.5-15X50, and a DNT 7-35X56. I'm happy with both considering price.

The Athlon turret detents aren't very positive and non locking wind. Has a color shift to green tint bottom 3rd of sight picture. Otherwise I'm happy.

After a couple hundred rounds with the DNT 7-35X56, is a solid 7-29X scope broad daylight perfect lighting conditions. If lighting conditions are sub par, like shooting into the sun, or targets get dark, then it's a solid 23-25X scope. Past these magnifications in bad lighting the eye box gets tight, image quality suffers.

Though, as I told my friend, one would have to be a retard not to get a DNT.
