Looking to pickup my first rangefinder. I honestly do not know much about them. I'd like to stay under $300, but if there is a much better option for little more I can make it happen. Thinking you guys can point me in the right direction.

This one is great. I had an old surplus Bushnell whatever the Army uses and it wasn’t working for shit past 800 or so, some highspeed with a Tangent Theta scope let me use his Vortex and it was like damn… I should just not be poor.

I have one now, totally worth it.

I've been happy with this for my simple needs.

That is a bit more than I want to spend right now. If I found myself using whatever I pick up a ton and find it lacking I'll keep this one in mind for an upgrade. Thanks

Euro-O rocks no doubt about it.
They're the best. Scooped a S3 6-36 "Demo" a few weeks ago for $1900. There is no way anyone even with a magifying glass could tell it wasn't new. Unless someone pops in with a better sugestion I will probably grab that deal on the Razor HD 4000. Thanks for the heads up.

That one caught my eye when I was browsing. The price is definitely nice.
This is what I’m using and I will forever sing Leupold CS’s praises. My old RX-600 crapped out on me ~2023. I called Leupold Customer Service looking to see if there was any kind of program for refurbishing. They politely told me that wasn’t an option, and offered me a ridiculous price on the RX-1400i w/TBR for trade-in, just required proof of destruction of the RX-600 unit. They definitely didn’t have to do anything for me; the RX-600 was 12+ years old and had been totally reliable until the display finally crapped out.

I’ve been very happy with the RX-1400i, and it’s equally great for bow hunting and rifle hunting with the different mode options.

Find a used Leica

This one’s sold but I had the 1600B and currently have the 2700B

They out range their listed capabilities

Otherwise try a used Vortex from px. Vortex warranty makes the buy worth it should it crap out in a year or two

Have I got a deal for you!!!!

I have this pair of range finding binoculars from Leupold. I got them about 15 years ago when I, like you, wanted to go cheap and found them in the Cabela's Bargain Cave in Sidney, Nebraska. Used, returned, looked like new, all the papers and box, yada, yada. These things are SLICK!!!! I mean super accurate ranging. They use the CR123 batteries and, if I remember correctly, 2 at a time.

Every 10 minutes.

I actually could afford to feed that beast but the annoyance was overwhelming.

I bought the Gunwerks G7 BR2 and it has served well.

I had a Leupold as well. Ate CR2’s for breakfast and struggled to reach half its advertised range on deer and what not. I still use them for bow hunting. Only because if I drop them from a tree stand it wouldn’t hurt me one bit

Used Leica. I had an old 800 yd Leica I dropped out of my safe and it wouldn't give a reading. Sent them an email just to see what they would say. Had me mail it in so they could evaluate it. I received an email saying it couldn't be repaired but I could trade up to a new model for half price. Got a 2400-R for $250. Heck of a company.

I'm leaning towards snagging that Vortex from EuroOptic. I'm a big fan of the you break it (which I am very capable of) we replace it warranty.
I got both my boys the Diamondback level Vortex RF, under 300, and they have worked very well.

That Razor at EO would be a good one. Otherwise I’d look for a used Leica.
