I’m not, just have it on the left shoulder while moving between stages. I assume you are saying you put your tripod on/in the pack while traveling?
For PRS I’m just moving it stage to stage, but for NRL, some of those stages can be pretty far apart and it has to be stowed away anyway.
I know you didn't ask me but I put a length of 4" sewer pipe in my Eberlestock X1 scabbard and I'm going to strap another one to the side of my Fac Track. The rubber parts don't stick and it doesn't need straps unless you tip your pack upside down. It looks a little silly but I plan on painting them.

Looks good. Could even strap it on the outside for taller 2 section tripods.
Eberlestock F1 and Vapor 2500. I like minimalist gear. I carry my ammunition, spare bipod, spare suppressor, and food. Small eberlestock pouch on the hip belt has batteries and fix it sticks.
