Part of the fun for me is shooting different stocks/chassis; arguably it's the part of the system we get the most intimate with. I own a legacy AICS 2.0, a McMillan A5, and an ACC premier Gen 1 and I like them all. I've got my eyes on the Matterhorn, it looks comfortable and nice to shoot.

I don't shoot comps, I really just shoot in prone or from a tripod for fun. Anybody have experience with this chassis and how do you like it? Anything about using it annoy you?

I have a manners tcs, manners prs2, and mdt ACC premier g2 in the stable and have recently been able to get quite a bit of experience with the Matterhorn.

I really enjoy the Matterhorn more than any of my other options. So much so, planning on selling my TCS soon. I don’t really know how to explain it, I’m not sure if it’s a bore height difference, or the grip, or the use of woods, but recoil seems very, very straight back and dampened and quite a bit in the system compared to my other stocks. That is without any of the weight kit installed, running a 6 GT suppressed.

I have yet to find anything that annoys me, besides the cost of some of the accessories. I did put some MDT external weights on the forend, and my bipod knob would not clear them, so I need to invest in some of their external weights, or just do without them. Not a huge deal, but that is the only thing that is annoyed me at all about it in a few months I’ve had it.

Overall, I love it

The issue I had was with a ckyepod knob hitting. It clears the factory weights just fine, it’s the mdt weight that hangs lower. Although I don’t need all the weight I was trying to add, it’s literally the only thing that has even annoyed me thus far.

last match I just switched to the aluminum version of the gray ops MPA MPRO XL inserts. No weights on my rifle just a 28” 1.250” barrel and it’s the best setup now for me.
Thanks for your detailed review vid bro. It was useful. I appreciate your insights.
