2A ALERT for COLORADO: CO AWB at Gov's desk. THIRTEEN new antigun bills to be watched. Update on post 106 pg 3..

Seems like that's what they spent the last 4 years trying to provoke. It would give them the excuse to publicly perpetrate the violence on us they really want to, instead of shooting up concerts and shooting at our president and blaming it on a lone crazy. There pros and cons to everything.

Could you imagine if we stopped taking the fucking moral high grounds and started burning shit to the ground.

Could you imagine these fucks actually listening to us and if we had started this shit years back, maybe, just maybe they would have not taken Soros money.

Glad we weren't around back during the revolution or we would still be a land governed by England.

Glad everyone is still comfy in their houses with their 2 cars and such.....just no guns now.

And next year they will slap us like bitches once again and take away more of our rights and people will still have to go to work.

and then the next year they will ban gun forums in the state and we will once again allow it to happen.

Then the next year they will lock step us to the train cars and we will have people here helping them out.

I didn't lose close friends and shed my own blood sweat and tears just to have my rights taken away.....

Yall are a bunch of fucking cucks, bet if they made a law where they get to fuck your wives you would all still have to say you had to work.

Fuck it all.....I'm out

I did send emails. To every Representative.

I did make calls. To every Rep that I thought it might matter. And, now, twice a day to Polis.

I didn't drive the 8 hrs each way to the Capitol.

The Reps I can vote for all voted against this and will vote against the other 14 bills being considered. This county is hard R.

It's difficult when 50% of the states population lives within a 60 mile radius of Denver and listens to the Democrat MSM propaganda machine.

A call to Polis won't hurt. Message machine. (303) 866-2471

To Doc68: I see truth in everything you posted. Thank you for your service. I don't know what that means to you when you hear it but I know what it means to me when I say it.

Thank you,
MrSmith

Some information and an update on current Colorado Firearm legislation .

Firearm and Ammo Taxed
https://www.pewpewtactical.com/sin-tax-guns-firearm-ammo-taxes/

Excise Tax Lawsuit Information
The National Rifle Association (NRA) is joining a number of other gun rights organizations and an El Paso County resident in filing a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of a 6.5% excise tax on guns and ammo sold in Colorado, set to go into effect today, April 1.
Proposition KK was passed by voters in November. It creates a 6.5% excise tax on firearm-related purchases in the state of Colorado. Firearm dealers, manufacturers and ammunition sellers are responsible for paying the new tax on their retail sales.

The tax revenue will be used to fund crime victim support services, mental health services for veterans and youth, and school safety programs.

The lawsuit was filed Monday in Denver District Court by the NRA, the Firearms Policy Coalition, the Second Amendment Foundation, the Colorado State Shooting Association, Magnum Shooting Center and an NRA member from El Paso County.
...The lawsuit seeks to overturn the excise tax, claiming that it violates the second amendment by unfairly burdening law-abiding gun owners and retailers.
"Colorado’s firearms excise tax is an overt assault on the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Coloradans and a deliberate attempt to discourage the exercise of constitutionally protected freedoms," John Commerford, Executive Director of the NRA Institute for Legislative Action, said. “We are pleased to join with other Second Amendment advocates in this lawsuit to protect and defend the fundamental right to keep and bear arms."
In a statement, the NRA said it is asking for a declaratory judgment stating that the tax is unconstitutional and a permanent injunction preventing its enforcement.
Proposition KK is expected to generate approximately $39 million in state tax revenue a year.

The results of the happenings in Doc's diatribe.

For those with their heads still above water, don't let your state get this far into the swamp.

I'm out,
MrSmith

It's starts with Gerrymandering and ends with mail in voting. All of those bills are wildly unpopular. Our only hope would be that recall elections are still in person. But it would just be another data point to show our elections in CO are compromised when we make it back to election time again. Look at that list of complete unconstitutional bullshit and tell me this wasn't revenge. Some of the particularly egregious one might get vetoed. Like if a theif said he was gonna rob and not kill ya and pretend like that was a favor. Disgusting, but predictable.

Well it's official. Polis signed it into law.....Colorado is dead.

I'm sure all our members here will just stay and pay the fees and jump through hoops because they have to work.

Well I've already started looking for a job in FL and TX.

Looking at no more than a year from today being here in CO.

Thanks to all the CO members who did nothing to lift a finger on this issue.

I'm sure your hunting guns will be next because of a new false flag event in the next year or so.

Hunting won't be far behind and I'm sure you all will stay when that falls too.

Y'all are too comfortable......

Have fun on your forum echo chamber instead of actually doing anything positive.

I'm out......

I bought property in Idaho. Building commences next month. This is the first time in almost 30 years I did not put on for the hunting draw. I get a bear, 2 elk, and deer tags plus fishing and small game. This year the money is going to help sue Colorado. Last year I paid in 12k in state taxes...now Colorado will get nothing from me.

I'll stay and fight for now. The back up property in AR will start getting developed tho.
I have a freind that moved down by Russellville in the early 2000s when they really started drying out the plains. I coukd really get used to the hunting and fishing. Last a I knew it was less than 50 dollars for a hunting license. That's to hunt everything. He said the elk they introduced had done well and he was allowed to take 1 per year on his property. They moved now. I don't know if they still own that property. It was warm with lot of lakes and everyone has their own pond. Some of them were bigger than what we call lakes down here. It was really beautiful place. Not like that frozen wasteland Wyoming. 🤣🤣🤣

Its pretty nice. We're south of there about hour half. Obviously the humidity makes it hotter and colder. Humid cold is fucking cold. 20 there is like in the zero or below range here but its not very often that its that cold. The hot is miserably sticky hot too but whatever. It has a lot of the features we have here with mountains and rivers but they're just a different style, less open and shorter. I think the elk tags are a little tough to get but yeah the "hunting license" lets you kill quite a few critters with the one fee. Right now there is just a dry camper down there but its going to get basic infrastructure this year so it can be build on in short order.

A little tough to get is an understatement...there were 15 total last year and 10 of those were antlerless. Wife's family has a farm there and we visit often, for 25 years or so. I didn't know elk hunting was even a thing there. Got a LOT of duck though. And pigs.

"Hunters with access to private land in elk country use a quota system instead of drawn permits. Any resident may purchase a Private Lake Elk Permit (labeled PLE in the AGFC licensing system) for $5 in addition to a valid resident Sportsman Hunting License.. Nonresidents must purchase a Nonresident Elk Permit (NRE) for $300 in addition to a valid Nonresident Annual Hunting License."

My BIL is an AR native and avid hunter. He didn't know there were elk in AR. And you omitted the next paragraph...

"The private land quota is 18 total, 6 either sex and 12 antlerless. Hunters must call each evening to determine if the quota has been met before the next day’s hunt. The season ends early if the quota is filled."

So total 33 for the state, max 11 bulls.

Far enough south for alligators? I was disappointed when I visited and found out they didnt have alligators.
I dont think so but maybe.

It's a 5 dollar extra fee for residents with private land. Ya real exclusive. I am in CO and I have known their were elk in AR for twenty years. So maybe living there means fuck all about what someone knows about it.

"Omitteed" 🤣🤣🤣 I see you are trying to have an argument. Even though what said is is 100% verifiable from the 1 paragraph. Elk have done well. They are huntable and he could take up to 1 per year on his private land. What are you trying to argue even? 🤡🤡🤡

Not arguing anything. There are 33 elk statewide to be taken. The only private land that you can hunt on is a very specific area. Sure, anyone can get a tag. But having "land" doesn't mean you can hunt elk on it. The are only a few counties available for hunting. You started any "argument".

First time I visited CO was probably in the early 90's in Co. Springs competing at the olympic training center and shooting out at Ft. Carson. For a decade or more after I'd frequently visit CO to hike, mountain bike, snowboard etc. had friends in Denver/Co. Springs. Always thought it would be a great place to live, and working for a large company I've had the option to relocate there the last few years but politically it seemed like it was going the wrong way far too fast. Seems it's doomed to just become the next California or even worse with the trend it's on now. It almost seems surreal that a state like CO would run that blue, but Washington and Oregon probably thought the same thing, and AZ and NV are not far behind.

CO voting may trend more differently than most expect with the voter rolls being cleaned up and fed law requiring ID for those elections.

And yes, we still had Bill Owens a Republican, as gov not 20 yrs ago.

But yes, it is very Sodom and Gomorrah like and I would love to leave.
5 more yrs…..

Aside from politics this is such a great place to be, assuming you arent buried in the shitty. What we need are red folks to flood in, not leave. If you have cash its not the worst time to buy. With all the building, the housing inventory is great right now and people arent selling as fast as they want so prices are dropping a bit. The tide doesnt have to turn that far to make it red again and then the libtards can flood back out and go fuck off somewhere else. If we can straighten up the voting which Im pretty sure has fraud, it wouldn't take that much to come back. The newest GC is so bad I cant imagine its going to hold up in court but it will take some time to get rid of it. I have some hope but it is looking grim right now, no doubt.
