I tried looking around but haven’t seen many reviews on the new defiance 75 degree bolts? Does anyone have any personal experience with them? Im considering an anti-x with one for a hunting rifle build.
I thought @Lowlight did a review when they first became available.
I switched to Manner's LRH stocks, so I haven't had to order a replacement, even though I want to try one in the 280 Ackley to see if I can switch to a different/lighter stock.
I've been considering picking one up for my 6.5 PRC but I too was hoping to hear some feedback from others before I spent the coin. I might just have to take a chance and grab one.
Well somebody needs to get one. I cant seem to find anyone with firsthand experience using the 75 degree bolt. Maybe Defiance finally priced themselves out of discussion. That 75 degree throw and lightweight action sure are appealing for a hunting rifle.
I saw someone in another thread mentioned they weren’t happy with the cam pressure needed to close the bolt. I am going to wait and see what my clearances are like with the 90 and my optic setup before I rush out and drop $500+ on a new bolt to save 15 degrees.
I spoke with @Deep South Tactical about the 75 degree before I ordered mine and he told me the same thing about the “heavy bolt”. His recommendation is why I went with the 90 degree on my build he has now.
