Anyone have spent a lot of time with a CRBN yet?

Starting to build a nrl light rig. Already have a carbon and lighter steel 6.5cm barrels for my zermatt Ti3 or TL3 actions. I really dont much like chassis for light rigs, and manners pro hunter/lrh is longer LOP than I want. Trying to sort a stock.......

What do you want to know? I have one that I shoot fairly often with my kids. It currently had a Mousingfield with a 22" Bartlien Carbon #13 6mm CM barrel.

I've had one since last April or so and love it. Have used it in a couple NRL Hunter matches and for CD's BOTC match last summer as well as hunted with it this past fall. I'll most likely take it out for spring bear shortly as well. I'll dig up some pics. I've run it with an R700 and 24" steel Sendero in 6.5 creed, a Defiance Elite with 26" steel M40 in 6.5 creed and a Nucleus with a 26" heavy palma in 6 creed. I can make Open-Light with the CRBN with the R700 and 24" Sendero (with a Razor LHT 4.5-22 and a lightweight double-pull Ckyepod).

When I first saw the angled grip I was a bit bummed as I really prefer a vertical grip but once I started using it, I really didn't notice. The stock is super stiff and very damp. It's definitely one of my favourite rigs.

The balance point without the bipod hanging off the front it right where the carbon meets the steel on the barrel shank. If I had to pick my least favorite part of the stock it'd be the grip. I'd prefer the grip off the Seekins PH2, which is my favorite. The CRBN is growing on me as I shoot it more though. First week I had it I really didn't like it, now I don't mind it at all, but still prefer the seekins grip.

I feel the same way about the grip, i wish it was vertical. I have large hands and can reach the trigger from the grip, smaller hands might need to float a little more.
One thing I dont like is how high the barreled action sits. The rifle is constantly trying to roll out of my hand if I carry it.
I prefer the hntn 26 , hopefully gen 2 comes out soon

@White Mamba I like my hnt26 as well, however I wish there was a longer forend option. It's fine for hunting, but for NRL hunter stuff, or field matches, another 2-3" would be nice!(said no-one ever🤣)
If you're not right up against the weight limit, you can add a longer ARCA to the HNT26 handguard.
I got the Area 419 12" Arcalock M-Lok onto mine and have been happy.
Long enough to push the bipod forward out of the way of a support bag, and the Arcalock rail and clamp stopped the issue of bipod drift. I did have to dremel off one of the Mlok recoil lugs to fit, but totally worth it. I wanted to have true Mlok interface rather than one of the "Universal" add-ons as I didn't want to risk the rail itself slipping on the fore-end.

There isn't a longer forend for the HNT simply because of how the forend attaches to the main chassis body, a longer forend would just impart too much flex (same goes for adding an extended arca rail). I still love the HNt for hunting but I vastly prefer the CRBN for NRL Hunter/field matches. If you want something similar to an HNT but with a longer forend, I'd get the new LSS Gen 3 with the carbon forend and carbon folding stock when they become available. The interface between the forend and the main chassis body is much more rigid than the HNT and would allow for a longer forend (though I'm not sure what the intended length is). It won't be as light as the HNT (the main chassis body of the LSS isn't magnesium) but it will be more rigid.

I'll have to look into this, appreciate it.

I wonder what the weight of the LSS will be with the carbon buttstock and handguard. Without them, the chassis weighs 29 oz in it's lightest configuration.

Bought a CRBN but it didn’t work for me. The grip to trigger reach is really, really short. Grip angle is too angled for me - would’ve loved to see it more in the ~10* range. LOP was also too short at max (I like 14-14.25”), but longer screws and custom spacers would fix that. Was really looking forward to replacing my LRH with something quieter and lighter with adjustable LOP, but they went a little too small for me.
