A cross over rifle seemed like a good idea

Until I built one and used it extensively. Not sure why the thought of “if I only had only one rifle” came into my head. Who has only one rifle? It’s so optic dependent anyway. So now it’s a full on lightweight precision rifle.

Compromising sucks.

Yeah it’s definitely a study of compromises. I’m gonna throw a bit longer steel barrel on it to bump the weight up a few pounds for range use and save the CF barrel for hunting. Should come in around 14 lbs with a heavier barrel.

Or you end up the opposite. I don’t get to shoot any matches and barely any steel anymore so now I just have some heavy ass hunting rifles lol.

12lb 243AI I love for hunting but my 16lb .223 and 16lb 6.5CM just don’t get used much anymore.
