That’s exactly what they do. Once on, it’s not moving forward under recoil.

We run a small pinch in the back so it holds more heat off the end and will NOT slip off.

You have to slide the cover on from the barrel side and once it hits the narrow pinch in the back, it doesn’t slide forward any more.

You can see how it constricts in the pic sbove on the super long AB Raptor with reflex.

This is on an Ultra 7.

I am confident because I got physics on my side—it’s impossible for a large object to pass through a smaller hole.

I’ll be curious to see if something unexpected happens though.

And, if anyone buys one and doesn’t like it, PM me why and and we’ll do a full refund.

If we need to tweak the fit, we will just send a new one.

The back is open to thread it on another suppressor without having to take it off. It slides on before threading onto the rifle. The pinch in the back is maybe 1/8 to 1/4” smaller diameter over all. Just enough so it can’t slide forward under recoil.

It’s a hunting cover, so not meant to burn it down, lol. It will serve your uses for slow fire. The interior is the typical carbon felt that can take a direct flame.

I have run quick fire strings up to 20-.223, 15-6 creed, 10-7 SS to check mirage and it’s no problem for a “hot” suppressor. Others have run strings longer and it hasn’t been a problem.

Excellent. That's more than sufficient. Thanks for the info!

I may have answered the question wrong about swapping the direct thread mounts.

If you are swapping it on different rifles, whether a direct thread or a QD of some type it will go on and there’s enough room to swap it.

If you have to change the amount on the back of the suppressor, you will have to pull the cover off. Same with any other type of hub mount.
