Tried to remove one of the spacers in the butt pad - screws wouldn’t bottom out subsequently.

Are there shorter screws available for this?

Yeah, buy new shorter screws or cut them down. I’d buy new ones in case I’d add a spacer again. I don’t believe they’re special screws, but you could contact AINA.

I should have rephrased that - were there supposed to be shorter screws included with the rifle?

Mine didn’t have any.

M6 metric thread socket head

45mm length is the usual for one thick spacer plus one thin spacer

35mm for one thick spacer only

25mm for one thin spacer only

I was going to ask them for the thread / pitch / length, but AINA’s not very good at picking up nowadays.

As a matter of fact - when I called for something else late last year - they were damned snarky.

They are just regular M6 metric screws, unless they change them to 1/4 UNC for the US market.

The stock screw pictured in the next post is something like 49 to 50mm.

Thanks!

Home Depot…

Stock Allen screws are 4mm, these from Home Depot are 5mm - but the heads still fit in the relevant recesses.
