Alright guys,
Diving into 25 creed because I can't shake the urge.

What die setups are you guys using? bushing size, FL or neck, seating stems, etc.
Gonna use alpha 25 creed brass and the 131 Ace from BlackJack?

I have one of these, and I just use the 6cm seat stem that came with the die, no issues & no marks on bullet.. I would give it a try and if you are getting runout or marks on the bullet, hop over to face book page of the 25 CM, those guys will know for sure or ask the question directly on the BlackJack FB page...

I'm reading the forster micrometer seater 6.5 creedmoor is good to go as is. Waiting to hear back from Blackjack on facebook as to what they use. Will report back when/if i get a reply.

From Logan at BlackJack
"Redding Type S FL Bushing die (6.5 creed w/ .282 bushing) w/ Forster micrometer seater 6.5 creedmoor (no changes required) is the best combo for 25 creedmoor."

Personally, I'm gonna follow his recommendations, however, I plan to remove the de-capping pin/expander from the FL sizer to minimize overworking of the brass. I'm going to de-prime with a universal de-capping die. Once brass is resized, I will run it through a the Sinclair .25 caliber expander mandrel to maintain consistency.

Seems just about everyone here has been banned but I’ve got a similar need as I just bought a 25 CM barrel and brass.

Here’s what I have:
RCBS 6.5 CM full length sizing die and seating die
Hornady 6 CM FL sizing and seating dies
RCBS 257 WBY dies (can’t remember if FL or neck size)
RCBS 300 WM neck size die
RCBS 0.282 bushing for 257 sizing

Can I cobble any of the above together to neck size my brass? I have once fired Lapua brass coming as well that were fired in this barrel so that should simplify the brass side of things.

Thanks in advance!

Take the decapping stem/expander ball out of the 6.5 dies and run a piece of brass in it and see what it comes out at. It might just work.

I was able to make it work with lapua 6.5 prc brass and Hornady dies. It gave me just enough to engage the mandrel.

As long as that FL Sizing die uses neck bushings, that die will work.

What is the neck thickness of your brass? The 0.282" bushing should be correct for something around 0.0145" thick

Thanks guys! Didn’t know if simply removing the expander would work or not but hopefully it will.

I don’t have the brass here till tomorrow, but that bushing is what others were running Lapua brass to get the neck tension they wanted.

Thanks!

I used Hornady 6.5 CM sizer replaced the 6.5 with .257 expander/decapping on the stem. Hornady seater.
.283 bushing Lapua and Alpha brass.
