I was in the process of building a dedicated LMT MWS upper for 6.5 cm. I balked at the cost of BCGs and then ended up seeing Titan Defense had the 6.5 CM DMR in stock. Somehow, when I started thinking about the parts I wouldn’t need to buy, the NIB parts I could sell, and the premium for not needing to wait I convinced myself that it made sense.

I was never good at math.

Well, I never got around to building an AR10 because it was out of my budget. Then I got a great deal on a stock rifle for $600, and then changed the stock, trigger, handguard, grip, added an atlas cal, bought dies and components for it, then realized I needed a reloading setup too, so press, brass prep tools, loading blocks, a workbench to mount everything on, powder measures..and then realized I didn’t have access to a chrono either, bought a chrono, a suppressor, a law folder, mags....totally saved money not buying receivers a barrel or bcg!

Awesome,

Thats not a bad idea, I think building up and MWS is best done when when the market is not on fire, You can get really good deals on stuff that sits on various equipment exchanges and vendors and even LMT run sales to clear out old inventories. Unfortunately right now everything is moving off the shelves within a day or so, and anything listed is generally close to retail.

The only parts that I actually had to buy for my second rifles was a lower, a charging handle everything else came from the spare parts bin.
