Hmm? How does that make sense? If they wanted Americans dead they had thousands on hand before the airlift evacuated nearly all of them.

Other players like ISIS are far more likely to stage such an attack , first undermining Taliban control of Kabul and if the attack provoked US retaliation for the attack against the Taliban . It would be a perfect two birds with one stone.
