This maybe a result the sources of news you are reading.
It has been out there for quite some time and every major news outlet around the globe has reported on the case at one point or another.

I appreciate your passion upon discover of the case, but your assertion that the internet is silent on the subject is not accurate.

The story was originally broke by the Washington Post in 2000, long before Wikileaks. It took 7 years of legal battling to bring it to the Nigerian court.

The wikileaks scandal revitalized the story, because it came out that our Pfizer had potentially bribed or extorted officials in Nigeria to turn the case from a lawsuit measured in billions to a lawsuit measured in tens of millions.

The story keeps popping up every few years as the story develops or a new turn in the case is made. The first article was one that I remember and I think sums everything up pretty well the history of the events from 2000 - 2010.



I could easily find articles in foreign language outlets but here are some prominent articles dating all the way back to 2000. The ire in the medical journals is more poignant.
