Time to ditch all my brass?

This happened at the FOD match yesterday, I shot two rounds, wasn’t able to close my bolt, jacked the live round out, and finished the stage to find this… was this just old brass or perhaps another issue?

Right on… problem is I don’t know what to tell you. No pressure signs, but literally all my brass is at least 20 years old, and may have about 10 reloads on them. I sold my last 308 19 years ago, and just started shooting again. The load was 43.1gn of 2520, with a federal primer, brass is Remington. Pushing a 168 Sierra match bullet.

My guess is brittle brass. Fired round neck sticks in chamber and comes apart upon extraction. Next round jams in neck and you extract it like a broken shell extractor.

Anneal your brass as previously mentioned and keep on going.

anneal and steel wool cleaning at least it could look like new again . shame that happened to you at a match . good thing that only one did that to you the others could last another few reloads . If you listen to your brass they are telling you they still have life left in them they want to fight one more round cause Micky loves them and they did not hear any bell lol.

That brass doesn’t look right. It looks green. Is that just the photo?
I have seen this happen before annealing was wide spread, metal fatigue. I have just thrown away 50 cartridges that displayed a swollen base and wouldn't slide easily into my new match chamber. If you have new why risk a problem at a match"
